Astrology Transits November 2017

The strong Scorpio/Taurus emphasis this month continues the theme around determining your values and transforming those things that are outworn or detrimental into something that furthers your highest good.

Hold on to your Hats!  The month of November begins with several volatile, emotional and challenging aspects.

November 1, Mars at the midpoint of Saturn and Pluto.  We need to be careful of this one as it carries a lot of energy.  Watch for overly assertive, or even aggressive, actions and belligerent attitudes from others.  You will also be affected, so watch your own attitude.

Because Saturn is the planet of limitation be especially wary of an attitude of “I don’t have” versus those who are perceived as “having it all.”  This will be exponentially amplified by the Taurus full Moon on November 4.

Pray that our world leaders do not over react to this challenging energy.  This configuration is superb for inner transformative work so use it to go inside and to promote peace rather than to engage with others in spats or confrontations.

November 1, Saturn at 24 degrees Sagittarius Trine Uranus at 25 degrees Aries. This trine is a repeat of the December 2016 energy.  It will be felt most strongly by those with planets around 25 degrees of the fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius).

Saturn and Uranus are very different planets.  Saturn is the cautious, careful taskmaster, while Uranus is the innovative, freedom loving revolutionary.  You may feel this as a crazy urge for a breakout, breakthrough or freedom from something or someone.  At the same time, Saturn will be urging you to be careful and fearful and cautions, “oh, by the way, what will the neighbors think?”  This energy has hovered around us all year but it is once again super strong.

November 4, Full Moon at 11:59 Taurus.  Because this moon is in perigee (meaning its closest proximity to the Earth), it will appear extra large and luminous in the night sky.  It will exert a stronger than normal pull on the tides, the earth’s tectonic plates (earth rumblings and/or earthquakes) and our moods.

Beware of creating emotional drama, particularly regarding matters related to values, money and possessions.  Possessiveness, suspicion and jealousy could rear their ugly heads.  This too shall pass, so it’s best not to get caught up in the melodrama.

Those with planets around 9 to 13 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo and Aquarius will be most affected by this dramatic full Moon.  Be aware that, because of the fixed nature of these signs, that you could become too entrenched in a certain way of thinking.  Consistent with the theme of transformation, you might want to consider letting go of something that you have held onto for dear life.  It might be gut wrenching, but can allow an abundance of new, beneficial energy (Jupiter in Scorpio) to come in.

November 1 through 4, Venus in Libra is sextile Saturn in Sagittarius and opposes Uranus in Aries.  There is an urge to make peace and to compromise.  However, such efforts can be thwarted by the Saturn/Uranus dynamic.

November 2-4, Mercury in Scorpio inconjunct Uranus in Aries.  An inconjunct feels like a never-ending source of irritation.  Not a fun feeling.  Look for lots of crazy (Uranus) talk (Mercury) with no meeting of the minds and little resolution.  Disruptions in computer or electronic networks could also occur.

November 11-14, Venus Conjunct Jupiter at 5 degrees Scorpio.  Questions regarding love, value and your personal set of values are more easily answered during this time period.  Alternatively, you may find yourself questioning your values around love during this time.

November 13, Mercury Square Neptune at 11 Degrees Sagittarius/Pisces.  Try to refrain from making decisions during this time.  You may be a little too idealistic and not quite as clearly focused as usual. Delay signing important papers if possible as confusion and deception are in the air.

Mercury is sextile Mars on November 16.  Your mind is clear but your attention span may be short.

November 18 and 19, New Moon at 26 degrees Scorpio and Mars square Pluto at 17 degrees Libra/Capricorn.  This is another time of volatility, aggression and conflict with a high possibility of some kind of power struggles.  Look to the houses in your chart with Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius and Leo to determine how it will affect you.

On the positive side, this is a great time to begin something new so long as you don’t sabotage yourself through overly aggressive actions.

November 22, Neptune turns direct at 12 degrees Pisces. If Neptune has been transiting your 1st or 6th house, you may feel more energetic and nagging health problems could begin to clear up.
