Solar Eclipse June 10, 2021 – New Ideas and Plans

June 10:  Solar Eclipse at 19:47 Degrees Gemini.

Sun Conjunct Mercury at 20 Degrees Gemini Square Neptune at 23 Degrees Pisces. I have heard from many people that the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius was challenging for them. Full Moons, and especially a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, mean that something in your life has reached fruition.  It is time to let it go and to clear your psyche so the new can enter at the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Gemini.

So much has changed over the last year and many of you are feeling out of sync, unsettled and rudderless. However, over the next six months you will understand that the Eclipses have helped you gather and evaluate new ideas that will propel you forward in a beneficial way. The Gemini Solar Eclipse focuses on better ways of communicating, new ideas, new plans and new ways of expressing yourself. Let the “new” energy percolate until after Mercury turns direct on June 24; then let it shine and manifest.

In addition, the ongoing square between Saturn and Uranus moves to a closer-than-ever conjunction.  This square has been with us all year and will continue in varying degrees of magnitude through the end of the year.  When the planets move closer together it ramps up the intensity.  If you have put off making a needed change in your life, the eclipses and the close Saturn/Uranus square may be just what you need to revamp your life.

Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse

May 26:  Full Moon, Total Lunar Eclipse at 5 Degrees Sagittarius/Gemini. This Sagittarius Full Moon has entirely different vibes than last month’s Scorpio Full Moon.  The Full Moon in Sagittarius is much more light hearted and playful. All full Moons are emotional, but this one is more geared toward playfulness, partying and communication.  The Sun and Moon are square Jupiter in Pisces, which brings a challenge around over exuberance, exaggeration and a tendency to throw caution to the winds. Be aware, and if going out be sure to have a designated driver.  Those with personal planets from 0 to 10 degrees of the mutable signs (Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini and Virgo) will feel this Sagittarius Full Moon  most strongly.

Simultaneously with the full Moon lunar eclipse, Venus and Mercury are square Neptune.  This can add an element of confusion and mistrust to the energy of the eclipse.  With the Moon in Sagittarius, the sign of truth and beliefs, vow to speak your own truth and to focus on understanding how your truth meshes with those around you.

Also, with Saturn (limitation) squaring Uranus (the new and exciting), let go of limiting ideas and beliefs. Doing so lets you move toward a freer way of being and thinking.

It’s best not to push too hard to make changes now. Mercury and Venus will soon move retrograde.  Let the retrograde assist you in letting the energy unfold as it will without stress or undue forcing. The new energy will flow in at the New Moon Solar Eclipse on June 10 at 19 degrees Gemini.

Astrology Transits January 2020 – Anticipation

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We spend January 1st walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, tracks to be patched. Maybe this year to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives not looking for flaws, but for potential ― Ellen Goodman

The astrological news this month is dominated by the Cancer Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on January 10, at 2:21 PM in New York City, NY (adjust for your time zone).  Full Moons always have the Moon and the Sun in opposition. Planets in opposition show a conflict between the two signs and houses in which they are located.  Here, we have the Moon in Cancer in conflict with the Sun in Capricorn.  Employed mothers may find that issues around working at a job or profession (Capricorn Sun) causes angst because part of you wants to be home full time nurturing your family (Moon in Cancer).  It can also bring up issues around your chosen career.  You may ask yourself: Am I being nurtured at my workplace, or am I just an unseen cog in the wheel.”

In any case, Full Moons, whether an eclipse or not, are about letting go.  Something, someone or a situation has outlived their usefulness or relevance in your life, so adjustments need to be made.  A Full Moon Eclipse is an excellent time to work out such dynamics.

January 1, 12.01 am  – HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Moon conjunct Neptune at 16 Degrees Pisces.  Please, please pay special attention to the effects of alcohol and drugs on your system when the Moon is conjunct Neptune.  The Moon rules our emotions and Neptune rules our need to remove all boundaries and to just let things flow.  In addition, Neptune rules drugs and alcohol.  When it is prominent in your chart or transit chart, you are especially susceptible to the effects of any and all mind-altering substances.  As long as you don’t drive impaired, Moon conjunct Neptune is a great party aspect with nice romantic overtones.  Enjoy!

Areas that are prone to flooding could find a major water event during the time around this conjunction.

On a very positive note, Mercury conjunct Jupiter at 6 Degrees Capricorn is a great day to plan any business-expansion ideas.  Mercury (ideas) blended with Jupiter (expansion) in Capricorn (serious, reality-based plans) can help you advance towards success.

The time around January 1st is also highly favored for spiritual endeavors of all kinds.  Set your intentions and see what happens in the coming months!

January 7-8: Sun Sextile Neptune and Mercury Sextile Neptune at 16 Degrees Pisces.  As William Arthur Ward said:  “If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it.”  Use this lovely energy to imagine your dreams into reality.

January 10:  Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 20 Degrees Cancer/Capricorn Conjunct Mercury at 20 Degrees Capricorn and Saturn-Pluto at 22 Degrees Capricorn.

Full Moon Lunar Eclipses are always highly emotional and powerful. This Full Moon Lunar Eclipse is an exceptionally powerful Full Moon because of the Mercury, Saturn and Pluto conjunction to the Sun (and opposition to the Moon).  Emotional (Moon) power struggles (Pluto) are possible, especially if you feel that you are being restricted or limited (Saturn) by someone or something.

Because both the Moon and Pluto rule the collective and the masses, we could hear about global political power struggles and skirmishes around this time.  On a physical level, the pull of gravity is extra strong around all full Moons.  Because this Full Moon is opposed by Pluto, the earth may be subject to earthquakes and volcanic eruptions (Pluto rules the underground), as well as exceptionally high tides and water events (Moon opposing Sun).

The Cancer Lunar Eclipse will be felt most strongly by those with planets from 15 to 25 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Capricorn, Aries, Caner and Libra). Use this strong energy to understand your emotions (Moon).  What do you really want?  Who or what is standing in your way?  and How can you transform (Pluto) those obstacles into a place of power (Pluto) for yourself?

January 11-14: Sun/Mercury/Saturn/Pluto stellium in Capricorn Continues.  Uranus turns direct on at 2 Degrees Taurus.  Sun conjunct Pluto is exact on January 13.  Though Sun/Pluto aspects can bring power struggles and issues, there is an exciting upside to this powerful energy manifesting right after the lunar eclipse.  The Sun gives you the impetus to strive towards the best and to shine the light on what needs to be transformed (Pluto).  Additionally, Pluto gives you the will and fortitude to power through any obstacles.  Use this energy wisely and you could see big accomplishments as you move into 2020.

Each of us will feel more movement around us once Uranus turns direct, especially those of you with planets in the early degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. Dare to move outside your comfort zone to explore new and exciting opportunities.

January 13:  Venus Enters Pisces. Venus brings a loving energy into the compassionate sign of Pisces.  Enjoy romance, spiritual pursuits and open-hearted giving during her journey through Pisces.

January 20:  Sun Enters Aguarius. Sun in Aquarius brings relief from the rather serious Sun in Capricorn energy we have been experiencing.  Groups and friends and all kinds of social gatherings dominate the scene.  Let go of some of the “should” and just enjoy the spontaneous energy of Sun in Aquarius.

January 22:  Sun Square Uranus at 2 Degrees Aquarius/Taurus. You may feel at little edgy and restless during this transit.  Take a walk to clear that restive energy and let the unexpected, sometimes amazing insights flow.  Inventive insights are the order of the day under Sun square Uranus.

January 27-28:  Venus Conjunct Neptune at 16 Degrees Pisces.  Venus conjunct Neptune is joined by the Moon on the 28th when it moves into Pisces.  Treat yourself to a luxurious candlelight bath or engage in your favorite spiritual ritual.  Your intuition and creativity are high, so pay attention to psychic impressions now.

Mars square Neptune on the 28th adds a punch to the contemplative energy.  You may be feeling tired but wired.  Give yourself permission to take some quiet time.

Astrology Transits July 2019 – Change Is In The Air

Looking behind I am filled with gratitude.

Looking forward I am filled with vision.

Looking upwards I am filled with strength.

Quero Apache Prayer

The Moon and the North and South Nodes of the Moon hold a prominent place in the emotions and events of July 2019.  The Moon shows our emotions and what we hold very close to our heart.  I have always felt that, in many ways, the Moon sign and aspects are even more important than our Sun sign and aspects.  If you want to know a person on an outer level learn about their Sun sign.  If you want to learn about a person on a deeper, more intimate level, learn about their Moon sign.

The Moon rules the sign of Cancer, children and the fourth house of home in our birth chart.  This month with Venus, Sun and Mars transiting Cancer and with two eclipses highlighting Cancer, it is time to examine your emotional security needs and to bring peace within yourself about any lingering family/nurturing issues.  If you are wanting to start a family, the strong Cancerian energy just might bring about a new pregnancy.

July 3:  Venus Enters Cancer. Venus in Cancer through July 27 emphasizes home and family issues and those you care about.  This includes your children and furry children.

July 4:  New Moon Solar Eclipse at 10 Degrees Cancer.  With the Sun conjunct the Moon in Cancer you will find that you are feeling more sensitive and more aware of your emotions at this time. You might want to consider the emotional connections to those in your life. Allow yourself to tune into, and feel, your emotions.  Solar eclipses are a time of change and a time to contemplate a new cycle.  How would it feel to change what is no longer working for you?

July 9:  Mercury Turns Retrograde at 4 Degrees Leo.  Despite the negative stories we hear regarding Mercury retrograde, Mercury retrograde in Leo is a wonderful time to re-think your ideas around inspiration, individuality and leadership. When Mercury moves backward into Cancer on July 19, watch out for over sensitivity to the words of others.  Your reaction may be ruled more by your emotions than the actual context of what was said.

As always with Mercury retrograde, your words and ideas may come out garbled or even completely different than what you intended.  A useful tip is to repeat what you say and to make sure that your words are perceived the same by both you and the recipient(s).  Mercury Turns stationary direct at 24 Degrees Cancer on July 30.

Meanwhile, the Sun in Cancer opposes Saturn at 17 Degrees Capricorn.  This powerful aspect can bring a feeling of restriction and the possibility of feeling overly responsible, emotionally drained and excessively weary.  Practice giving yourself more love and allow yourself to temporarily withdraw from the fray. As with everything in astrology, the planets promise that “this too shall pass.”  This opposition will be felt most strongly by those with planetary placements in Cancer, Capricorn, Libra and Aries.

July 11:  Grand Trine Formed by Moon in Scorpio, Sun in Cancer, and Neptune in Pisces.  This watery grand trine brings a sense of ease to those with significant planetary placements in Scorpio, Cancer or Pisces, though emotions will run high.

Mars in Leo Square Uranus in Taurus brings a feeling that something is about to happen.  The feeling could be likened to that of “waiting for the other shoe to drop.”

July 14:  Sun Opposition Pluto at 22 Degrees Cancer/Capricorn.  Difficult energy prevails leading up to the Lunar Eclipse.  There is a tug of war between your need to withdraw and protect yourselves and the  need to do what others expect of you.

July 16:  Lunar Eclipse with Moon at 24 Degrees Capricorn Opposing Sun in Cancer.  Beware of taking things personally, particularly in business/family dynamics.  It is time to consider letting go of those people, places and things that no longer feed your soul and emotional body.  There could be a few tears with this one, but it can act as a catalysis for moving toward a more fulfilling emotional life.

July 17-21:  Venus in Cancer opposing Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn and Trine Neptune in Pisces.  Venus in Cancer trine Neptune in Pisces is a lovely aspect that denotes a loving, imaginative, compassionate energy.  However, Venus opposing Saturn and Pluto  in Capricorn is harsh reality coupled with a strong need to totally transform something in your life.  With two competing energies in force, I would advise you to face the cold, hard reality of your life, but to temper it with a super dose of love and compassion for yourself and others.  With Neptune, things are never as they seem.  You are challenged to see beneath the veil during this unsettling time.

July 23:  Sun Enters Leo.  Time to shine, lead and express your individuality.  Sun in Leo lightens the moody Cancer energy we have been experiencing.  Time to get out and play in the Sun.

July 28:  Venus Enters Leo.  Venus in Leo until August 21 puts the emphasis on creativity, fun and entertainment.  This is a super time to emphasize and re-energize any creative projects that have been on hold.

July 29:  Sun at 6 Degrees Leo Square Uranus in Taurus. Sun square Uranus promises to add a sizzling, super-charged energy to the last days of July 2019.  This energy can be challenging, but can bring in eureka moments.  Pay attention to random thoughts and events and expect the unexpected! Those of you with planets in the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) may find this unsettling energy challenging.  Best to just go with the flow and to let inspiration prevail.

July 31:  New Moon at 8 Degrees Leo.  This ultra-creative Leo new moon invites socializing, unleashing your playful side and expressing your creative muse.
