The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones. ─ Confucius
The big news this month are two rare planetary formations, the Kite and the Yod. Both the Kite and the Yod combine a sense of ease with a sense of challenge. Both formations help you reach your goals if you do the required work piece by piece. Or, as shown in the quote, “we can move mountains by carrying away small stones.” This is right in tune with the manifesting energy of Leo in the beginning of August and then the organizing energy of Virgo after August 22nd.
Kite Formation
The “Kite” formation is active between August 7 and August 14. The Kite consists of two sextiles (Uranus sextile Saturn/Neptune and Saturn/Neptune sextile Pluto), three trines (a Grand Trine formed by Mars, Uranus, and Pluto) and an opposition of Mars and Saturn. Sextiles and trines are beneficial aspects that work together to help you achieve your goals. Trines bring a sense of ease and harmony and Grand Trines, such as we see on August 7, bring a flow of positive opportunities. However, trines and sextiles need a little effort from you in order to manifest.
That’s where the opposition of Mars to the Saturn/Neptune conjunction comes in. Mars gives you the drive to meet any challenges with action. Neptune gives you imagination and the ability to dream. Saturn gives you the ability to face reality and to overcome any obstacles or challenges. See the August 9 Full Moon chart below, which contains a Kite formation.
Yod Formation
August also features a Yod formation containing the Saturn/Neptune conjunction, Pluto and the Sun. A Yod, also known as the “finger of God” aspect, is a rare, powerful configuration that is believed to point to your destiny. It consists of an apex planet, two planets that are sextile and two planets that form a 150-degree quincunx angle that connects the sextiles. Quincunx aspects bring a sense of stress and tension that show where adjustments need to be made. The two sextile planets at the base form a harmonious flow that show talents that can be used to resolve the tension of the quincunx.
Finally, the planet at the point of the Yod, the “apex,” receives the energy of the two quincunxes. It shows the focus of the Yod planets and where you need to make changes to manifest your destiny. In the August 2025 Yod, the apex of the Yod is the Sun in Virgo, which translates to “steady, careful, thoughtful action brings success.” This Yod favors a balanced approach that combines imagination (Neptune), hard work (Saturn) and intensity (Pluto).
August 1: Venus Square Saturn at 1 Degree Cancer/Aries. Venus Square Neptune at 1 Degree Cancer/Aries. This is not the best day to socialize. Relationship (Venus) fears (Saturn) and confusion (Neptune) dominate your thinking due to Venus square Saturn. Venus square Neptune brings a touch of confusion and baseless worry. This is one of those days when you might feel lonelier in the company of someone else than you would feel by yourself. Use this emotionally challenging time to tune into your needs, regardless of whether you are in a relationship or not.
August 2: Venus Quincunx Pluto at 1 Degree Cancer/Aquarius. Mars at 26 Degrees Virgo Quincunx Chiron at 27 Degrees Aries. The challenging relationship energy continues when Venus is quincunx Pluto and Mars is quincunx Chiron. Your desires (Venus) seem to be squashed by the overpowering, intense Pluto quincunx. Mars quincunx Chiron adds a touch of aggressive feelings and anger fueled by old hurts and traumas. Keep your own counsel and refrain from socializing until the energy clears in a few days.
August 6: Mars Enters Libra. Mars enters Libra and opposes Neptune and Saturn at 1 Degree Aries. At the same time, Mars trines Uranus at 1 degree Gemini and Mars trines Pluto at 1 Degree Aquarius. A somewhat rare Kite formation is formed which will be around until August 14.
August 8: Mars Trine Uranus at 1 Degree Libra/Gemini. Mars Opposition Saturn and Neptune at 1 Degree Libra/Aries. Sun at 16 Degrees Leo Sesquiquadrate Saturn/Neptune at 1 Degree Aries (Rx). Mars trine Uranus is an action-packed aspect that can lead to accidents or other unexpected outcomes. Be aware of your surroundings and curb your impulsive side under this dynamic energy. Mars trine Uranus is superb for motivating you to reactivate something you put aside because of lack of energy. Flashes of insight, bright ideas and new understandings are very common when Mars is trine Uranus.
August 9: Full Moon at 16 Degrees 59 Minutes Aquarius at 3:55 AM EDT. Mars Opposition Neptune at 1 Degree Libra/Aries. The Sabian symbol for this Aquarius Full Moon is “A watchdog standing guard.” It symbolizes loyalty, faithfulness and the ability and desire to defend what you value. This Full Moon is especially apt today, when the world is experiencing governmental, climatic and financial upheavals. In the sign of Aquarius, it speaks to our connections to our community and social groups. You may be asking yourself questions around your obligation to others ─ especially questions such as: “Am I my brother’s keeper?” and, if so, “How does that fit into my concept of myself and my world view.
Of special note in this chart is a clear “Kite” formation connecting Saturn, Pluto, Mars and Uranus.

August 10: Mars Trine Pluto at 1 Degree Libra/Aquarius. Mars trine Pluto is an excellent aspect for making needed long-term changes in your life that can bring a positive outcome. Mars brings the energy and motivation and Pluto brings the will power and deep understanding needed for completion.
August 10: Mercury Turns Stationary Direct at 4 Degrees Leo. Bring on the bells and whistles and the oompah band when Mercury turns direct in Leo. Release all that pent up energy and strut your stuff now that Mercury is moving forward. Advertising is especially effective when Mercury is moving direct in Leo.
August 12: Venus Conjunct Jupiter at 14 Degrees Cancer. Venus conjunct Jupiter is a short-lived transit that is phenomenal for love and financial matters. You are feeling warm-hearted and optimistic now, and lady luck just might be smiling on you. Enjoy this expansive Venus conjunct Jupiter transit, but be careful not to over indulge or overspend, but rather to use a little self-discipline.
August 22: Sun Enters Virgo at 4:33 PD EDT. Everything quiets down and becomes more focused when the Sun is in Virgo. Make realistic plans, clean out your closets and simplify your life under Sun in Virgo.
August 23: New Moon at 0 Degrees 22 Minutes Virgo. This Virgo New Moon at the significant zero-degree mark shifts the energy to a more measured, analytical and organized way of living your daily life and looking at the world. The Virgo Moon forms a Yod aspect with Saturn/Neptune in Aries and Pluto in Aquarius. The Moon and Sun are conjunct at zero degrees in the sign of Virgo. Zero degrees of a sign indicates the need to do things differently because a new energy is emerging. The sign of Virgo is about paying more attention to your everyday actions and surroundings. Ask yourself: How can I make things more organized and concise in order to use my energy wisely?

August 24: Sun Square Uranus at 1 Degree Virgo/Gemini. Sun Quincunx Saturn and Neptune at 1 Degree Virgo/Aries. Sun Quincunx Pluto at 1 Degree Virgo/Aquarius. The Sun square Uranus also forms a Yod consisting of the Sun, Saturn and Pluto, which is in effect through August 25.
August 25: Venus Enters Leo. Venus Trine Saturn/Neptune at 1 Degree Leo/Aries. Venus likes being in Leo where she can show off her pretty clothes and charismatic nature. Venus trine the conjunction of Saturn and Neptune brings lovely soft energy (Venus and Neptune), tempered by the harsh reality of Saturn, which requires a critical, responsible view of anything that seems “too good to be true.”
August 27: Venus Opposition Pluto at 1 Degree Leo/Aquarius. Subconscious fears and doubts, particularly around love and money, can take over your rational mind when Venus is opposition Pluto. Venus rules love, money and the finer things in life, while Pluto rules undercurrents and deep phobias and fears. Be careful of hidden resentments and manipulative power moves within your financial and romantic relationships.

The visionary starts with a clean sheet of paper and reimagines the world.” —Malcolm Gladwell (Neptune)
I discovered that a fresh start is a process. A fresh start is a journey—a journey that requires a plan. —Vivian Jokotade (Mars and Saturn)
The big news for the last part of May into June and forward is Saturn’s move into Aries on May 24. Saturn will be in Aries for the next couple of years, except for a brief retrograde back into Pisces from September 2025 until February 2026.
Saturn in Aries is part of a continuing connection Saturn has with Neptune at zero degrees Aries. Saturn and Neptune are part of the big shift made by all of the outer planets as they move into new signs in 2025.
In the photo above, the mist in the distance represents the Neptunian veil of foggy perception and illusion. Yet, when we immerse ourselves in it, we feel our intuition expanding and we are infused with a sense of awe and spiritual connection. The well-defined path relates to Saturn, which brings sense of direction to your endeavors.
Saturn is known as the “Great Taskmaster.” It is the planet of responsibility, patience and limitation. It requires you to “toe the line” within a structured setting and to plan and work hard to achieve your goals. Saturn’s role is to prepare you and keep you focused. It brings rewards, but on its own schedule and only once you have proved yourself.
Neptune wants you to dream the impossible dream, while Saturn absolutely requires you to be real and authentic. Ask yourself?
- How much do I desire the wished for outcome?
- How confident am I that you I can be successful?>
- How much work am I willing to do to bring about that outcome?
- Am I willing to be patient and practice persistence, even when the desired outcome looks out of my reach?
Combining the power of Neptune to dream big with Saturn’s power to plan and define purpose, along with focused work (Saturn) can help you manifest your dreams (Neptune).
June 1: Venus Conjunct Chiron at 25 Degrees Aries. Venus and Chiron are trine the Leo Moon and sextile Jupiter. The beneficial vibes of both Venus and Jupiter assist you in looking at old wounds (Chiron) and offer healing energy to resolve or, at least, to move past old disagreements and hurtful events.
June 6: Venus Enters Taurus. Venus in Taurus brings your focus to your love life, nature and financial matters. Venus is sextile the big planet Jupiter as Venus enters Cancer. You may be tempted to spend more than you should on pretty things, especially items for the home. Taurus loves security, so its best to practice restraint when deciding how and when to spend your money.
June 8: Sun at 18 Gemini Sesiquiquadrate Pluto at 3 Aquarius. If you have planets near 18 degrees Gemini or 3 Aquarius, you may want to wait a few days before taking action, especially when communicating with others,
June 8-9: Mercury Enters Cancer June 8 and Jupiter Enters Cancer June 9. Mercury in Cancer adds emotional sensitivity and empathy to your communications. You may find that you are having more discussions about your home, especially around making it more “homey.” Mercury will be in Cancer until June 26 and Jupiter will be in Cancer until June 30, 2026.
June 9: Venus Square Pluto at 3 Degrees Taurus/Aquarius. Be careful in your interactions with those close to you now. Venus square Pluto in the fixed signs of Taurus and Aquarius brings intensity and stubbornness that can result in intense battles over nothing of importance. Mercury Quincunx Pluto requires adjustment of your words and communication. Your words may be perceived as more aggressive, intense and powerful than you realize.
June 11: Full Moon at 20 Degrees 39 Minutes Sagittarius at 3:43 AM EDT. The full Moon in Sagittarius forms a grand trine with Mars in Leo and Chiron in Aries. The Sagittarius Full Moon radiates a sense of confidence, joy and optimism. Use this auspicious full moon to accomplish those things that once seemed overwhelming or impossible.

June 15: Mars Square Uranus at 28 Degrees Leo/Taurus. Jupiter Square Saturn at 1 Degree Cancer/Aries. Mars square Uranus in the fixed signs of Leo and Taurus is a volatile, unpredictable aspect. It’s best not to engage in conflicts now, as both sides are apt to be stubborn (fixed signs) and the energy is such that any conflicts can quickly erupt into an all-out war. Jupiter square Saturn adds to the problematic energy. This aspect brings a feeling of uncertainty, tension and a “poor me” attitude. Jupiter tends toward grandiosity, while Saturn maintains that all is not well. Keep your own counsel until the volatility eases at the end of June.
June 17: Mars Enters Virgo. Mars liked being in Leo, a fellow fire sign. Both Mars and Leo like action and Mars is very visible when in Leo. Now, Mars in Virgo until August 7 is calmed down and much quieter. Use this quieter Mars to do some serious organizing and hauling away clutter. Mars in Virgo is also good for staring an exercise program or for taking part in community service work.
June 18-20: Jupiter Square Neptune at 2 Degrees Cancer/Aries. Mars at 1 Degree Virgo Quincunx Saturn and Neptune at 2 Degrees Aries. Jupiter wants you to feel optimistic, but things just seem too confusing when Jupiter is square Neptune. Mars in Virgo quincunx Saturn effectively steps on the brakes. An adjustment is called for under the quincunx aspect. This is not the best time to initiate new projects as the steps to get to completion and the outcome just aren’t clear.
June 20: Sun Enters Cancer. Your thoughts turn to home and family when the Sun is in Cancer. You feel the need to nurture and protect those you love, whether a person or your special pet. You may want to do more baking or cooking now to express your love for family. Your emotions are stronger than usual and your emotional sensitivity is enhanced.
June 22-23: Sun at 1 Degree Cancer Square Saturn and Neptune at 1-2 Degrees Aries. Mars Quincunx Pluto at 3 Degrees Virgo/Aquarius. The Sun in Cancer square the Saturn/Neptune conjunction really amps up the energy today. See my discussion at the beginning of this newsletter for more information on the effects of Sun square Saturn and Neptune.
Mars quincunx Pluto requires finesse. Aggression and power are hallmarks of both Mars and Pluto. When they face off in a quincunx, something has to give. Be especially careful of aggressive drivers and of disagreements that quickly escalate into separations and hurt feelings.
June 24: Sun Conjunct Jupiter at 3 Degrees Cancer Quincunx Pluto at 3 Degrees Aquarius. Mercury Square Chiron at 26 Degrees Cancer/Aries. Sun conjunct Jupiter brings a big dose of optimism and a positive outlook. This aspect combined with Mercury square Chiron is superb for bringing understanding and healing to past hurts and wounding.
June 25: New Moon at 4 Degrees Cancer at 6:31 AM EDT. This Cancer New Moon is significant. The Sun and Moon are square the Saturn/Neptune conjunction. The New Moon is inconjunct Pluto and sextile Mars, which forms a yod aspect with Pluto at the Apex. Use your intuition now, but proceed cautiously. Powerful energy indeed.

June 26: Mercury Enters Leo. Mercury Trine Saturn at 1 Degree Aries. Mercury in Leo trine Saturn in Aries brings clear thinking and the energy to deal with any tasks that require concentration and attention to detail.
June 29: Mercury Opposition Pluto at 3 Degrees Leo/Aquarius. Mercury opposition Pluto is the aspect known for propaganda and indoctrination. Stand up for what you believe and do not be swayed by the glitter of false promises. Instead, use this aspect to dig deep to understand the truth behind false stories.

“The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.” – Joseph Campbell
“Fear keeps us focused on the past or worried about the future. If we can acknowledge our fear, we can realize that right now we are okay. Right now, today, we are still alive, and our bodies are working marvelously. Our eyes can still see the beautiful sky. Our ears can still hear the voices of our loved ones.” – Thich Nhat Hanh
The partial Solar Eclipse of the Sun at 9 Aries on March 29 ushered in a new beginning connected to the essence of the sign of Aries. Namely, that of action, courage, impulsiveness, anger and, most of all, new beginnings.
Neptune moved into Aries on March 30 quietly reshaping our deepest spiritual and moral understandings. Neptune had been in Pisces since April 4, 2011. Neptune is at home and feels comfortable in its “home sign” of Pisces. Now, as it moves into uncomfortable Aries, you may find that you need to confront past beliefs and to become more aggressive in your moral stance. Use the beginning stage of Neptune in Aries to review your goals, your moral understandings and your ability to become more involved in the actions and reactions of yourself and those around you. Neptune will be in Aries until March 2029, with a brief retrograde return to Pisces from Octboer 2025 through January 2026. Use this time to reassess your spiritual beliefs (Pisces) and to come to terms with what is worth fighting for (Aries) in your life and the world at large.
The April forecast is relatively quiet, but changes dramatically after April 21st when an intense, explosive, power-hungry T-square between the Sun, Mars and Pluto dominates between April 21 and April 27. Add in the Taurus New Moon on the 27th in the fixed sign of Taurus and it points to a very challenging time indeed. Saturn in Pisces all through April can help you stay grounded and focused. The sign of Pisces reminds you to not lose your compassionate, caring nature during those challenging times.
April 2: Venus Conjunct North Node at 26 Degrees Pisces.Venus Opposition South Node at 26 Degrees Pisces/Virgo. Venus conjunct the North Node and opposing the South Node urges you to appreciate and join with others for a mutually beneficial compassionate endeavor. Venus opposition South Node shows the need to leave old ideas and prejudices behind. The sign of Pisces brings universal love and the sign of Virgo brings discernment. Ask yourself: How can I join with others to bring more joy and peace to my neighborhood, my country and the world?
April 4: Saturn Sextile Uranus at 256 Degrees Pisces/Taurus. Mars Trine Saturn at 25 Degrees Cancer/Pisces. Mars Sextile Uranus at 25 Degrees Cancer/Taurus. Saturn brings a sense of responsibility and stability, while Uranus seeks to shake things up. Though the energies of Saturn and Uranus don’t mesh well, this aspect can reveal new and exciting concepts and ideas. Uranus brings revolution, new directions and breakthroughs, Mars brings the courage to embark on new endeavors and Saturn keeps you grounded and focused. Saturn also tames the more impulsive and aggressive Mars’ tendencies.
April 6-7: Venus Conjunct Saturn at 25 Degrees Pisces, Trine Mars at 25 Degrees Cancer. Venus conjunct Saturn helps you evaluate your relationships and financial matters. Mars gives you the courage and will to make changes where necessary. We treasure stability, loyalty and duty when Venus is conjunct Saturn. This would be a good time to finalize business agreements as all parties are willing to find a middle ground.
April 8: Mercury Direct Conjunct North Node, Venus and Saturn at 25-27 Degrees Pisces. Your communications become more focused when Mercury goes direct in Pisces. Stubborn relationship or money matters may now have more clarity as solutions come into focus.
April 12: Venus stations Direct at 24 Degrees Pisces. Venus turning direct in Pisces gives you a chance to make amends or to re-establish strained relationships. Beauty and artistic ventures are especially favored now.
April 12: Full Moon at 23 Degrees Libra; Sun Conjunct Chiron at 23 Degrees Aries. The Sabian symbol for this Libra Full Moon is: “A third wing on the left side of a butterfly.” It points out the fact that we are all different and unique and yet, valuable and beautiful. It is time to honor and capitalize on those things that make you unique, creative, original, distinctive and peculiar. In a judgmental world that values conformity, this Full Moon in Libra honors your individuality and encourages you to have the courage (Aries Sun in opposition) to follow your own path. Meanwhile, transiting Uranus trine the South Node (the past) and sextile the North Node (new opportunities) shakes up your sense of complacency. Ask yourself: Am I ready to give up past limitations to honor my special gifts and talents.

April 16: Mercury Enters Aries and Conjuncts Neptune at 00 Degrees Aries. Everything, but especially communication, picks up when Mercury enters Aries. Hold off on important discussions until after April 23 when Mercury moves past Neptune. The Sun square Pluto gives you the courage to make changes and bold, new moves. Just check everything out first as Neptune at zero degrees can obscure the truth or fog the issues.
April 18: Mars Enters Leo. Bring out the crayons, watercolors and musical influences of all kinds when Mars is in Leo. Also, throw your shoulders back and present your most dramatic and confident self. Its time to let your talents show, when Mars transits Leo. Just be careful not to let yourself become arrogant or condescending.
April 19: Sun Enters Taurus. Mars Trine Neptune at 00 Degrees Leo/Aries. The Sun in Taurus until May 20 is superb for consolidating financial matters. There is a lot of fear now regarding finances. The Sun in Taurus urges you to pay attention to your long-term stability and security.
April 20: Sun Square Mars at 1 Degree Taurus/Leo. Everyone will be feeling impulsive, headstrong and competitive under the Sun square Mars transit. The possibility of accidents is heightened due to a lack of restraint and common sense. Use this time to motivate yourself, not to compete with others.
April 23: Sun Square Pluto at 3 Degrees Taurus/Aquarius. Power struggles, intensity, and just plain bull-headedness are some of the keywords used to describe Sun square Pluto. Be careful in your interactions with authority figures and realize that your way is not always the best way. Sun square Pluto can bring up deep, unresolved issues, especially with authority figures. Now is not the time to confront those in power or, really, anyone you are in conflict with. Say focused, and non-confrontational and your ability for accomplishment is through the roof.
April 24: Venus Conjunct Saturn at 27 Degrees Pisces. You may not be feeling “warm and fuzzy” when Venus is conjunct Saturn. Unfortunately, you may be super focused on the faults and limitations of yourself and those around you. Use this time to spend quiet, nurturing time alone. Saturn and Venus together can bring a feeling of loneliness and discontent, whether you are with others or not.
April 26: Mars Opposition Pluto at 3 Degrees Leo/Aquarius. Mars opposition Pluto on the Leo/Aquarius axis can either be a time of great energy and accomplishment or a time of extreme power struggles, obsessions and jockeying for position. Use this time to come up with solutions, rather than aggressively pushing (Mars) your own views and your need to be number one (Mars in Leo).
April 27: New Moon at 7-8 Degrees Taurus. You feel the need to increase your feeling of safety and stability under this Taurus New Moon. Though the outside world remains in a state of flux due to the outer planets all moving into new signs this spring and summer, vow to find space to tune into your inner sense of peace and tranquility. Nature is especially healing at this time. Consider planting a garden, buying a new houseplant or just taking long walks in nature. This is truly the time to hug a tree!

April 30: Venus Enters Aries. Venus in Aries conjunct Neptune calls for an evaluation of what and who you hold dear. Venus, the planet of love, conjunct Neptune, the planet of high ideals, brings a sense of universal love and a selfless regard for all sentient creatures. When I was taking classes at the School of Metaphysics, we practiced going around the circle and saying to the person next to us: “I love you just because you are.” This is the spirit of Venus in Aries conjunct Neptune.

Know what sparks the light in you. Then use that light to illuminate the world” — Oprah Winfrey
As I scanned December’s transits, I noted a few areas of concern, but also the definite return of a more joyful and optimistic turn of events. Though we can focus on the many, many ways we can be fearful, depressed and anxious, the New Moon in Sagittarius on December first brings a much-needed dose of optimism. It brings a desire to become more active and to go about our daily tasks with a touch of optimism. It truly is a new starting point to take us into 2025, which is full of zero-degree new beginnings.
Fire sign Sagittarius wants us to go out and play in the snow, go on a hike or swim a few laps in the pool. Or, alternatively, to learn something new, whether through travel, a new book or an exciting new course of study.
Some proven ways to take advantage of this forward-moving energy is to:
- Take a trip, go to a museum, join a debate or join a group that explores ideas.
- Let your curiosity run loose.
- Take a course, read a book or refresh your spiritual practice.
- Focus on what brings you joy and purpose. The Sun in Sagittarius is a great time to revive your commitment to yourself and to speak your own truth.
December 1: New Moon at 9 Degrees Sagittarius at 1:21 AM ET. The Sagittarius New Moon brings back a sense of optimism and the urge to leave your past traumas behind. The New Moon in Sagittarius helps you transition from the dark, lonely time of facing your fears that you experienced last month, into a time of hope and optimism. The challenges remain, but it is as though you are peaking out of a dark room into a shaft of light. The New Moon in Sagittarius urges you to continue to express what you know is right and true. Even if the road sometimes seems lonesome and long, right thinking and right action will prevail.

December 2: Venus Trine Uranus at 24 Degrees Capricorn/Taurus. You may be feeling a little bored, so shake things up today by doing something different. Take a new route to work, go to a new restaurant, or go on an adventurous, out-of-the-ordinary date.
December 4: Sun Square Saturn at 13 Degrees Sagittarius/Pisces. Venus Sextile Neptune at 27 Degrees Capricorn/Pisces. The Sun square Saturn is a low-energy aspect. You may become painfully aware of undone tasks and the restrictions in your life. Interactions with authority figures (Saturn) can be problematic now, so its not the best time to bring up touchy issues at work. You may just want to get away from it all under the Venus sextile Neptune aspect. The tendency for high Idealism and escapism are heightened how.
December 6: Mars Turns Retrograde at 06 Degrees Leo. Mars retrograde in Leo until February 23, 2025, will highlight conflicts and issues regarding your ego and the perceived lack of the proper appreciation and acknowledgment from others. During Mars retrograde:
- Take time to examine your motivations.
- Avoid impulsive actions and decisions.
- Practice patience.
- Evaluate why and how you express anger and frustration.
- When angry or frustrated feelings pop up, find something active to do or immerse yourself in a creative endeavor or hobby.
December 7: Sun Opposition Jupiter at 16 Degrees Sagittarius/Gemini. The Sun opposition Jupiter in the mutable signs of Sagittarius and Gemini brings a sense of optimism and self-confidence. You are not in the mood to follow all of the rules and “what ifs’ now, but want to just go where your heart leads you. You have a good chance of success under this aspect, especially if you curb any tendencies toward impulsiveness and over-optimism. While the Sun is opposite Jupiter, it’s best to practice moderation, humility, and patience.
December 7: Venus Enters Aquarius. Venus Conjunct Pluto and Ceres at Zero Degrees Aquarius. Venus in Aquarius brings a sense of universal love and well-being and the sense that the world is your family. However, Venus conjunct Pluto can bring out the green-eyed monsters known as jealousy and compulsion. Be careful here that your emotions don’t overrule your common sense.
December 7: Neptune Turns Direct at 27 Degrees Pisces. Neptune turns direct today and begins it’s journey to a conjunction with the North Node on February 28 and a conjunction with Saturn in late spring. It’s time to dust off and reactivate those dreams that were put aside during Neptune’s retrograde period.
December 15: Full Moon at 24 Degrees Gemini. Sun Quincunx Uranus at 24 Degrees Sagittarius/Taurus. Mercury Turns Direct at 6 Degrees Sagittarius. It’s all about communication under this Gemini Full Moon. Consider letting go of entrenched beliefs, doubts and old stories that are no longer valid. You know the ones. They play in your head over and over and over with no resolution in sight. Ask yourself: “Do I really need to hang on to beliefs (Sagittarius) that are only limiting my freedom (Uranus) and sabotaging my peace of mind?” Instead, let in the unexpected insights and inspiration t(Uranus) that are the gifts of this full Moon in Gemini.

December 18-19: Sun Square Neptune at 27 Degrees Sagittarius/Pisces. Venus Trine Jupiter at 14 Degrees Aquarius/Gemini. The Sun square Neptune can make you feel a little depressed and/or tired. If possible, take some time to rest and recharge. Venus trine Jupiter later in the day will help you regain your sunny, optimistic outlook. Because the Sun is right on the Galactic Center it is a profound time for the entire world.
December 21: Sun Enters Capricorn at 9:21 AM. When the Sun leaves Sagittarius and enters Capricorn today, there is a major shift from the light-hearted, fun loving Sagittarius energy into a more structured, disciplined mode. Your attention turns to responsibility, hard work, practicality and discipline. You may now become serious about your career plans and /or your place in the world.
December 24: Sun Quincunx Mars at 4 Degrees Capricorn/Leo. Jupiter Square Saturn at 14 Degrees Gemini/Pisces. December 25: Moon Enters Scorpio at 3:06 AM. TheSun quincunx Mars is a somewhat challenging aspect that makes it harder to understand others’ angry or agitated (Mars) feelings. Jupiter square Saturn can escalate such misunderstandings, while the Moon in Scorpio makes everyone want to dig deeply and intensely into feelings. Emotions will be intense. Tread lightly and try not to discuss old family issues or other loaded subjects such as politics.
December 28-29: Venus Square Uranus at 23 Degrees Aquarius/Taurus. Sun at 8 Capricorn Sesiquiquadrate Uranus at 23 Degrees Taurus. Chiron Turns Direct at 19 Degrees Aries. Both the Sun and Venus are making challenging aspects to Uranus today. Venus square Uranus can bring unexpected events, especially regarding love and money. Proceed with an open mind and try not to create a conflict just to shake things up and/or to assert your independence.
December 30: New Moon at 10 Degrees Capricorn at 5:26 PM. I like how the Capricorn New Moon occurs just before the New Year. A New Moon in Capricorn is excellent for:
- Making a list of those things you want to modify or remove.
- Setting new goals and methods to achieve the things on your list.
- Creating the structure (Capricorn) and habits to keep you on track to accomplish those goals.
- Examining your emotions regarding any change and letting go of any negative, non-productive emotions (New Moon).
- Look at how you can nurture (Moon) yourself as you make those changes.

Blessed Holidays and a Wonderful, Optimistic New Year to all of my loyal readers and your families. You are appreciated more than you know. Be safe out there as you ring in the New Year.
