Astrology Transits August 2026 ─ Eclipse Season

StockCake-Eclipse Over Mountains_1755983335

Eclipses are whispers of the universe heard through shadows.  ─ Unknown

The highlights this month are the New Moon Solar Eclipse at 20 degrees Leo on August 12 and the Full Moon partial Lunar Eclipse at 4 degrees Pisces on August 28. Eclipses are the joining of the Sun and Moon, either in a New Moon conjunction (Solar Eclipse) or a Full Moon opposition (Lunar Eclipse) within a few degrees of the Nodes of the Moon. As such, they powerfully bring together our emotions (Moon) and our essence and intent (Sun).

The Solar Eclipse speaks to fresh starts, self-expression and setting intentions. Its location in Leo favors a new beginning in matters relating to creativity, fun, romance, sports, investments, and children. You may be challenged to improve areas of your life needing a more confident self-expression. Ask yourself: “Where have I been self-sabotaging myself because of a lack of confidence?” An eclipse in the sign of the lion is a call to move forward confidently, even when you don’t have all of the answers yet.

The Lunar Eclipse in Pisces emphasizes your emotional needs and desires and your intuitive compassionate expression. You may notice vivid dreams, heightened imagination, spiritual yearning, escapism, and even a sense of gauzy perception or unreality. Be very, very careful in your use of both recreational and prescription drugs, including the five days before and after the eclipse. Use the Sun in Virgo to provide much-needed groundedness during this free-floating lunar eclipse.

August 1: Sun Conjunct Jupiter at 7-8 Degrees Leo. Sun conjunct Jupiter is a feel-good aspect that helps you feel outgoing, magnanimous, optimistic and generally ready for new adventures and connections. The potential downside of the Sun conjunct Jupiter in Leo is that you may take on more than you can handle and/or you may let yourself come across as arrogant, domineering or know-it-all.

August 2: Sun Trine Saturn at 14 Degrees Leo/Aries. The mood changes today, when the Sun is trine Saturn. It is time to make realistic plans and to finish your tasks in a focused, down-to-earth way. You might be surprised how much you can accomplish under this energetic, yet disciplined, energy.

August 6-7: Venus Enters Libra. Venus Quincunx North Node at 0 Degrees Libra/Pisces. Venus Quincunx Chiron at 0 Degrees Libra/Taurus. Venus loves to be in Libra, one of the signs it rules (the other sign is Taurus), so its influence is strong now. Venus quincunx the North Node and Chiron bring a new way of looking at relationships. Since the sign of Libra is involved, you may be contemplating fairness in a relationship, i.e. “am I giving too much in the relationship, or not enough?

August 9: Mercury Enters Leo. Mercury Quincunx North Node at 0 Degrees Leo/Pisces. Mercury in Leo until August 25 brings an energetic, creative, and even dramatic, boost to your projects. If there is something you wish to promote or sell, now is the time to do it. Your mind is active and full of enthusiasm when Mercury is in the sign of the lion (Leo). Use Mercury quincunx the North Node to scout out where you need to made adjustments and tweaks to your presentations.

August 10: Venus Trine Pluto at 3 Degrees Libra/Aquarius. Mercury at 0 Degrees Leo Square Chiron at 0 Degrees Cancer/Pisces. Venus Opposition Neptune at 4 Degrees Libra/Aries. Venus opposition Neptune can bring unrealistic expectations or projections toward others, while Venus trine Pluto increases the intensity level. Relationship breakthroughs can be made now, but be careful. Don’t push someone too far, and only probe as deeply as the other person is willing to go when addressing relationship dynamics.

August 11: Mars Enters Cancer. Venus Trine Uranus at 5 Degrees Libra/Gemini. Mars, the fiery planet of action and aggression, is weakened when in water sign Cancer. Fire and water turn to steam or vapor. So, instead of direct action, the Mars energy is turned inward and sometimes presents as moody, defensive, security conscious, and overly protective of self, home and family. Mars functions best when it can express in an outward, directed way. You may have a tinge of passive/aggressive thoughts and actions, or others may be expressing passive/aggressive emotions toward you.

Venus trine Uranus can promote relationship chaos, so use this emotionally fraught energy to improve your home surroundings and your home and family relationships, but be wary of pushing yourself or others too far or too fast.

August 12: New Moon Total Solar Eclipse at 20 Degrees Leo at 1:36 PM EST. Each of us will experience this eclipse season in some way, but those with planets between 15 and 25 degrees of the fixed signs (Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, and Scorpio) will feel the most change. A New Moon Solar Eclipse has a lot of power. It is like a new moon on steroids. The symbolism is such that the past is blocked out for a brief time, giving you the opportunity to  clear out old energy and to rebuild in a more opportune way. You may find that flaws and weak points in how you deal with life are now revealed. The Leo New Moon is conducive to expanding your self-confidence and creativity. It helps you redo what isn’t working or to start something new. The new Moon Solar Eclipse says: “It’s time to take charge of your life in a major way.”

This Total Solar Eclipses belongs to the Saros 10 South eclipse series that occurred in 1954, 1972, 1990, 2008. All of those eclipses share certain themes. Saros Series 10 South has to do with breaking out of a seemingly negative situation, where there is no hope, to a more positive space with many options. You are tasked with being true to your authentic self (Leo). You now understand that you can handle changes or endings, that change is necessary for your growth, and that change can bring a positive new beginning.

August 16-17: North Node Enters Aquarius. South Node Enters Leo. Mars Square Neptune at 4 Degrees Cancer/Aries. Another major shift occurs when the North Node moves into Aquarius and the South Node moves into Leo. The Nodes on the Aquarius (North Node)/Leo (South Node)\axis are urging a return to authenticity. They ask you  to examine whether you have the courage to show your true self and to honor and appreciate your uniqueness. The sign Aquarius is about the collective and groups, but the North Node transiting there for the next 18 months challenges you to express your unique individuality within the group. Merging with the group-think to get along is no longer beneficial.

The Nodes change signs every 18 months. It may be interesting to look back to the last times the Nodes were moving through Leo and Aquarius. The Nodes were on the Leo/Aquarius axis in 2017-2018, 2007-2009, 1998-2000 and 1989-1990. If you were born with the North Node in Aquarius (South Node in Leo), you are having a nodal return. Those of you with planets or points in the fixed signs (Aquarius, Taurus, Leo and Scorpio) will feel the nodal change the most. It is especially important for you to re-assess your life now. Ask yourself: “Who am I now? How is that different from the way I was when I was born? How is that different from my life 18 years ago?”

August 21: Venus Opposition Saturn at 14 Degrees Libra/Aries. Venus opposition Saturn is another problematic aspect for your relationships and finances. You may be feeling depressed, lonely or abandoned when Venus is opposite Saturn. Remember that this is a fleeting transit. Wait until after August 26, when Venus moves past Saturn to re-evaluate your relationships and money matters.

August 22: Sun Enters Virgo. The Sun will transit through Virgo until September 23rd. I always find it interesting that when the Sun enters Virgo, summer vacation is over for children and their lives become more structured as they  return to the serious job of returning to school. Similarly, the Sun in Virgo brings your focus to your everyday life, organization and to generally getting everything sorted for the long haul through the fall and winter months.

August 25: Mercury Enters Virgo.

August 26: Sun Quincunx Neptune at 3 Degrees Virgo/Aries. Sun Quincunx Pluto at 3 Degrees Virgo/Aquarius.  The Sun quincunx Neptune and the Sun quincunx Pluto makes for a rather unsettled day that will require adjustments to how you thought the day would go. It’s best to just go with the flow (Neptune), without trying to exert control (Pluto) as the way the day unfolds will probably be out of your control anyway.

August 27-28: Full Moon Partial Lunar Eclipse at 4 Degrees 54 Minutes Pisces at 0:18 AM EST. Sun Square Uranus at 5 Degrees Virgo/Gemini. Mercury Square Uranus at 6 Degrees Virgo/Gemini. This Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in the signs of Pisces (Moon and North Node) and Virgo (Sun and South Node) promises to bring an emotional catharsis, followed by high intuition and spiritual awakening. The lunation occurring in Pisces also favors heightened compassion and the dissolution of boundaries, and the clarification of old illusions, all of which we sorely need in the current political climate.

August 31: Jupiter Trine Saturn at 13 Degrees Leo/Aries. Jupiter trine Saturn is excellent for advancing the practical details needed for success. Saturn rules the material world, while Jupiter rules growth. Don’t expect rapid advancement under this transit, but rather, sustained advancement and stable results.

Astrology Transits July 2026 – Turning Point

royburi-turning-wheel-3701189 from Pixabay

The planetary lineup this month is just the kind of turning point referenced in the above quote. As we celebrate the Fourth of July holiday in the US, transiting Saturn at 14 degrees Aries is in opposition to the US’s natal Saturn, highlighting issues related to structure, order, restrictions, authority, law, government and institutions. This is a Saturn return for the US, which only happens approximately every 28-30 years. In addition, July’s aspects include several quincunxes and sesiquiquadrate aspects that call for adjustments and, even reworking, of the status quo.

Finally, the big news this month is when four of the outer planets simultaneously align at, or near, 4 degrees. That configuration is in force all month but becomes the most intense around July 19, when the Moon briefly joins the party. Planets align with each other all of the time. However, this is noteworthy because these outer, slow-moving planets have cycles that span decades and, in the case of Pluto, generations. Some of these aspects haven’t happened since the 1920s, others since the 1960s, and a few others have never connected in this way. I have been talking about a shift in the planetary energy for quite some time. I now believe that this outer planet alignment is the turning point in these shifts.

Mundane astrologers interpret celestial cycles. They focus on the astrology of global events, geopolitics, and natural phenomena rather than individual lives. André Barbault, one of the greatest mundane astrologers of the 20th century, wrote about this configuration in his 2014 book Planetary Cycles: Mundane Astrology, but had forecast it for quite some time before that. Significantly, Barbault had also predicted the 2020 Covid crisis years before it happened.

Barbault called this planetary lineup “the most beautiful configuration of the 21st century.” He believed it to be a relaunch of civilization after a long period of contraction. His view was that the outer planets forming this pattern would mark the end of a major cycle of collective crisis, and the beginning of some genuinely new energy and events.

Major planetary pairs at or near 4 degrees include (see below for chart):

  • Uranus sextile Neptune at 4 degrees Gemini/Aries
  • Uranus trine Pluto at 4 degrees Gemini/Aquarius
  • Jupiter trine Neptune at 4 degrees Leo/Aries
  • Jupiter opposition Pluto at 4 degrees Leo/Aquarius
  • Jupiter sextile Uranus at 4 degrees Leo/Gemini
  • Neptune sextile Pluto at 4 degrees Aries/Aquarius

Aries, Gemini, Leo and Aquarius will feel this most, especially those of you with planets in the early degrees of those signs, though all air and fire signs will feel it to some degree.

Some major themes are:

  • Power structures disintegrate and are rebuilt.
  • Time speeds up.
  • Creative breakthroughs become the norm.
  • Technology flourishes, but must be combined with common sense and meaning, rather than brute power.
  • The masses, ruled by Pluto, crave authenticity over power and control.
  • Collective values change becoming more aspirational and less about money and influence.

It is important to remember that these planets move slowly and that this turning point is just the beginning. The effects will play out over many, many months and even years. However, I am feeling optimistic that the energy is such that we can now begin to rebuild a new world more in tune with our spiritual values.

July 1-2: Jupiter Square Chiron at Zero Degrees Leo/Taurus. Mars at 2 Degrees Virgo Square the Nodes at 2 Degrees Virgo (NN) and 2 Degrees Pisces (SN).  Jupiter square Chiron is a powerful message about healing the past influences that kept you thinking you were small and ineffective. Jupiter, the planet of wisdom and expansion, when squaring Chiron says: “Let the pain go and think big toward becoming all that you can be.” Mars square the Nodes focuses action (Mars) around letting go of the past (South Node) and embracing your true destiny (North Node).

July 4-5 : Mars Conjunct Uranus at 3 Degrees Gemini. Mars Trine Pluto at 4 Degrees Gemini/Aquarius. Mars conjunct Uranus is a powerful  breakthrough aspect assisting you in overcoming obstacles through creative thinking (Gemini and Aquarius). Watch for startling news during this transit. If you are traveling during the Fourth of July holiday, be extra careful, as Mars, Uranus and Pluto in aspect can be conducive to unexpected accidents, fires and other crisis events.

July 6: Sun Square Saturn at 14 Degrees Cancer /Aries. Sun square Saturn is an excellent accomplishment aspect. Make tough decisions and patiently (Saturn) chip away at any real or perceived obstacles. Though Sun square Saturn may make you feel a little depressed or limited, this aspect will help you break through any obstacles ─ slowly and steadily.

July 9-10: Venus Enters Virgo. : Venus Trine Chiron at 1 Degree Virgo/Taurus. Venus at 0 Degrees Virgo Sesiquiquadrate Saturn at 14 Degrees Aries. Venus Conjunct South Node and Opposition North Node at 2 Degrees Pisces. Venus in Virgo until August 7 is excellent for organizing, clearing out clutter and making well-thought-out plans. Venus trine Chiron is good for letting go of old memorabilia that only brings back painful memories. Venus conjunct the South Node seconds that idea.

July 13: Venus Square Uranus at 4 Degrees Virgo/Gemini. Venus Quincunx Neptune at 4 Degrees Virgo/Aries. Venus Quincunx Pluto at 4 Degrees Virgo/Aquarius. Venus is certainly being activated under these aspects. Venus square Uranus can bring impatience with your loved ones. Be aware that you may be more prone to provoking a disagreement just to liven things up a little. Venus quincunx Neptune brings a lack of clarity, though it is very good for artistic and creative endeavors. Venus quincunx Pluto brings a burst of energy with nowhere to put it. Power struggles and arrogant attitudes can be the result. Quincunx aspects always ask for compromise and adjustments. The bottom line: Don’t push things with those close to you, but rather make adjustments in how you relate to each other.

July 14: New Moon at 22 Degrees Cancer at 5:43 AM EST. This Cancer New Moon is in the Moon’s home sign, so it is especially strong in all matters relating to real estate, home, family, nurturing and being nurtured. Emotions are felt extra deeply now. Ruminating about old family issues can leave you feeling a little blue. Instead, use this deeply caring New Moon in Cancer to authentically honor your own feelings, and to celebrate those people, pets and things that nourish your emotional well-being.

July 18: Uranus Trine Pluto at 4 Degrees Gemini/Aquarius.  Uranus and Pluto are both planets of transcendent consciousness. Your insight into your inner being is heightened during this transit, giving you the ability to see what is wrong with your life and how to more easily take corrective actions. Uranus gives you the ability to break free from old habits or emotional ruts that have kept you stuck.

July 20: Jupiter Trine Neptune at 4 Degrees Leo/Aries. Jupiter Opposition Pluto at 4 Degrees Leo/Aquarius. Jupiter opposition Pluto is a super-powerful aspect that benefits big achievements and anything requiring a focused, gung-ho attitude. Meanwhile, Jupiter trine Neptune brings heightened intuition and aids in spiritual or artistic endeavors. Stay grounded and be wary of grandiose schemes.

July 22-23: Sun Enters Leo.  Sun Square Chiron at Zero Degrees Leo/Taurus. Venus Quincunx Saturn at 14 Degrees Virgo/Aries. Sun Quincunx North Node at 1 Degrees Leo/Pisces. Venus Sesiquiquadrate Chiron on July 24. The Sun enters exuberant Leo, but you may not feel the light-hearted energy for a few days due to the challenging quincunx aspects from Venus and the Sun. Make any needed adjustments to your plans so you will be ready when the mood lightens.

July 25: Mercury Turns Direct. Mercury turns direct at 13 degrees Cancer.

July 26-27: Sun Opposite Pluto at 4 Degrees Leo/Aquarius. Sun Trine Neptune at 4 Degrees Leo/Aries. Venus at 19 Virgo Sesiquiquadrate Pluto at 4 Degrees Aquarius. When the Sun is opposite Pluto, you may be asking: “Who is the boss,” since both the Sun in Leo and Pluto in Aquarius thinks they know best. Venus sesiquiquadrate Pluto points to sorting that question out with loved ones.

July 29: Full Moon at 6 Degrees Aquarius at 10:35 AM EST. Sun Conjunct Jupiter at 4 Degrees. This Aquarius Full Moon is the perfect ending to a month holding the historical 4-degree outer planet alignment. The Sabian symbol for this Full Moon in Aquarius is: “A child born of an eggshell.” This symbol speaks to new beginnings and symbolizes rebirth or recreating yourself anew. It emphasizes self-realization, enlightenment and regeneration. You may discover a talent or aptitude that you had overlooked that points you in a new direction. Use this Aquarius Full Moon to its fullest by refusing to accept limitations. The Sun conjunct Jupiter brings a big dose of optimism and confidence that only enhances and confirms the Full Moon promise. The main downside would be a tendency to become arrogant or over-confident.

Astrology Transits March 2026 – – Reorientation to a New Path

I stopped asking the map. I started asking the road. — Kenneth (on burning the old, limiting, or outdated paths)

Each month when I sit down to write my newsletter, I often get inspiration from images and quotes. Images and quotes help me clarify the message that I believe the planets are telling us that month. March 2026 is about reorientation. February was a crazy, challenging month that brought in, or pointed to, many new ideas, events and connections. It challenged our sense of what we thought we knew and what we thought was real. In so many ways, it changed the landscape of our lives in a profound way.

Now, the astrological energy is about reorientation. The map we thought we could use is no longer working. It’s a lot like when Google Maps goof and mistakenly send travelers to a scary off-highway route. We know that what we now have isn’t working. But where do we go from here?

The answer is in the road. Where do you want to go? What are you willing to give up and what do you need to do in order to get there. Or maybe a side road is more to your liking. It is time to reorient yourself.

Last month had an over-abundance of important transits. Aside from the Virgo Lunar Eclipse and the outer planet transits, the March energy is much quieter. I am actually quite happy with the trines and sextiles and, thus, easier energy of March compared to January and February. Use this quieter time to strengthen your spiritual foundation for the topsy turvy months ahead.

In summary, things you should consider during March 2026:

  • Mercury retrograde in Pisces and strong emphasis on the North and South Nodes: Heal old emotional wounds and relationships. Nurture your creative, intuitive and spiritual side.
  • Total Virgo Lunar Eclipse: Let go of unrealistic expectations and untruthful rationalizations. Create order and organization in your life. Emphasize your health and consider an overhaul of your exercise and nutrition habits.
  • Saturn and Neptune in Aries transited by the Sun: Integrate personal responsibility and common sense with intuition and creativity under this long-term shift in consciousness.
  • Blend the strong intuitive energy with strategic action, especially with regard to relationship and financial matters.

February 27: Mercury turns Retrograde at 22 degrees Pisces. Mercury retrograde in Pisces until March 20 allows you to take another look at, and heal or resolve, old emotional wounds and relationship issues. It is also an opportune time to delve deeper into your personal spiritual practice.

March 2: Mars Enters Pisces at 9:15 AM EST. Mars Sesiquiquadrate Jupiter at Zero Degrees Pisces/15 Degrees Cancer. Mars in Pisces until April 9 brings out the desire to embark on a more spiritual path. Your subconscious emotions come to the surface and your intuitive abilities are enhanced. Mars at zero degrees Pisces sesiquiquadrate Jupiter in Cancer calls for an adjustment in how you handle conflict, especially around emotional family issues.

March 3: Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse at 12 Degrees 53 Minutes Virgo. Lunar eclipses are always about letting go and starting a new cycle. This Virgo Lunar Eclipse is about reorganizing your life, letting go of unrealistic expectations and paying more attention to your health and work habits. A Virgo Lunar Eclipse is the perfect energy to follow the hectic February events. It asks you to slow down, evaluate, and to then let go of anything that will keep you from experiencing your best self as you move into the new, active, Mars-focused astrological year.

March 5: Sun Trine Jupiter at 15 Degrees Pisces/Cancer. A sense of optimism and confidence prevails when the Sun is trine Jupiter. The trine in the signs of Pisces and Cancer is excellent for rebuilding emotional bridges and connections with others.

March 6: Venus Enters Aries and Conjuncts Neptune and Saturn. Venus in Aries reactivates the important Saturn/Neptune conjunction at zero degrees Aries. The Saturn/Neptune conjunction was about letting go of unrealistic ideas and dreams and reactivating those ideas and dreams in a realistic, grounded, pragmatic way. Venus softens the Saturn energy and helps you see what it is you really love. Take time now to tune into your true desires.

March 9: Mercury Trine Jupiter at 15 Degrees Pisces/Cancer.  Mercury moves very fast, so this is a short-lived, but lovely aspect. Think big. Your optimism now can help you overcome obstacles.

March 11: Jupiter Direct at 15 Degrees Cancer. Jupiter moving direct in Cancer lightens emotional connections and makes it easier to relate to others from a place of empathy. Jupiter will be in Cancer until June 30. Look to the house placement of the sign of Cancer in your natal chart to see where Jupiter will bring optimism and abundance to your life.

March 12: Venus Quincunx South Node at 8 Degrees Aries/Virgo. Venus quincunx the South Node urges you to let go of outworn, no-longer-working methods, especially around love and money. It is a great time to take action (Aries) and to organize (Virgo) your financial matters.

March 13: Mars Conjunct North Node and Opposition South Node at 8 Degrees Pisces/Virgo. Let go of unrealistic expectations so you can take advantage of new opportunities that show up when Mars is conjunct the North Node.

March 15: Mercury Conjunct Mars at 10 Degrees Aries. Though a very short-lived transit, Mercury conjunct Mars brings mental alertness, decisiveness and the ability to accomplish a lot in a short time. You may find yourself, and others, talking more and/or talking faster.

March 18: New Moon at 28 Degrees 27 Minutes Pisces. Venus Square Jupiter at 15 Degrees Aries/Cancer. Take some time to appreciate yourself now. The Virgo Full Moon eclipse made you very aware of your imperfections, whether real or imagined. This Pisces New Moon is a gentle reminder that you are perfect in your imperfections. Contemplate peace for all under this imaginative, creative New Moon in Pisces. Venus square Jupiter adds universal love (Venus) and a sense of thankfulness (Jupiter) to the energy.

This Pisces New Moon will be felt most strongly with those who have personal planets or points from around 24 degrees of the mutual signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) up to 2 or 3 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn).

March 20: Sun Enters Aries. March 20: Mercury Stations Direct at 9 Degrees Pisces. The Sun in Aries is at the important zero-degree Aries Point. It will go over the Saturn/Neptune conjunction as it moves forward. The beginning of big changes are set in motion now.

March 21: Mars Trine Jupiter at 15 Degrees Pisces/Cancer. Mars trine Jupiter is an energizing, “lets get it done” aspect. Your confidence is high and you can accomplish a lot under this aspect. Just be careful not to overdo or to create chaos due to your unchecked enthusiasm and/or impatience.

March 22: Sun Conjunct Neptune at 2 Degrees Aries. Let your intuition lead now. Your imagination and creativity are sky high. Record your dreams and ideas. You may be surprised at the insights you now have.

March 24: Venus Sesiquiquadrate South Node at 23 Degrees Aries/Virgo. Romantic and financial matters are unclear now as past influences may be clouding your judgment. If possible, wait a week or two before making any life-changing decisions.

March 25-26: Sun Conjunct Saturn at 4 Degrees Aries. Venus Conjunct Chiron at 25 Degrees Aries. The Sun conjunct Saturn is helpful for steady accomplishment. Aries brings action, while Saturn calms Aries’ impatience and impulsiveness. Venus conjunct Chiron helps you solve hurtful relationship issues.

March 27: Sun Quincunx South Node at 7 Degrees Aries/Virgo. The Sun in Aries quincunx the South Node in Virgo emphasizes the importance of facing the truth. Listen to that still, small voice within, rather than the desire to rationalize any unsettling truths. As the saying goes: “the truth will set you free.”

March 30: Venus Enters Taurus. Venus rules Taurus, so it feels strong and right at home here. Venus in Taurus until April 23 helps you achieve financial stability. Venus in careful Taurus favors slow, but steady, growth in your financial life. Your romantic relationships will also benefit from this helpful Venus transit.

Astrology Transits February 2026 – Dreaming in a New Reality

Image by Gerd Altmann from Pixabay

We all have an obligation to daydream. We have an obligation to imagine. It is easy to pretend that nobody can change anything, that society is huge and the individual is less than nothing. But the truth is individuals make the future, and they do it by imagining that things can be different. ── Neil Gaiman

NOTE: I wrote this newsletter before the extremely disturbing events in Minneapolis and thought that I might need to revise it. However, reading it over once again before posting it, I believe that the energy is as I have stated. Of course, no one can predict exactly what will happen, I can only talk about and predict the energy as I see it, not the outcomes from that energy. Now, more than ever, it is crucially important to stay grounded (Saturn), take action and dream a new reality for peace (Neptune). Year 2026 is a watershed year. Let’s all be part of the solution by staying focused, while imagining a more loving and peaceful world.

There is nothing shy, quiet or boring about the planetary energy in February. Rather, the energy is intense, charged and unpredictable.  February promises to be an important month as it brings several profound, even life-changing, aspects to the forefront. February starts with Mercury, Sun, Venus, Mars and Pluto all transiting in Aquarius. Revolution is in the air for sure. We are no longer feeling content to go along to get along. Rather, we are feeling the need to let our voice be heard (Mercury), about our ideals (Venus) in a sometimes overly aggressive (Mars) or overly controlling (Pluto) way. Expect the unexpected!

  • February 1: A full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo opposing the Sun in Aquarius.
  • February 4: Uranus turns direct at 27 degrees Taurus
  • February 6: Mercury enters Pisces
  • February 10: Venus enters Pisces
  • February 14: Saturn enters Aries
  • February 17: New Moon Solar Eclipse at 29 degrees Aquarius
  • February 17: Astrological Year of the Chinese Fire Horse begins
  • February 20: Saturn Conjunct Neptune in Aries
  • February 26-27: Mercury turns Retrograde at 22 degrees Pisces.

Also noteworthy is the upcoming movement of Neptune and Saturn into Aries. That conjunction marks a major astrological shift affecting all of year 2026. I will discuss this conjunction and other astrological events at my talk at A Spiritual Center at the Third Street Center, Room 31, in Carbondale, CO on February 1 at 10:00 AM. I would love to have you attend if you are able.

February 1: Full Moon in Leo at 13 Degrees Leo. Its time to confidently express yourself when the full Moon occurs in Leo. The Sun in Aquarius in opposition to the Moon in Leo urges you to honor your own individuality versus the needs of the group or collective. Honor your uniqueness, while working with the group or collective to bring about the desired changes.

February 4: Uranus Turns Direct at 27 Degrees Taurus. Uranus direct in Taurus continues its theme of bringing change, innovation and new ideas around your relationship with nature, finances and personal values. Uranus remains in Taurus until April 26 when it enters Gemini, where it will stay for the next seven years.

February 5: Sun Quincunx Jupiter at 16 Degrees Aquarius/Cancer. The Sun quincunx Jupiter brings an overly optimistic mindset and an overly stimulated mind. An adjustment needs to be made in what can, or should, be accomplished in the next day or two. Be wary of expecting too much from family members (Jupiter in Cancer) during this time.

February 6: Mercury Enters Pisces. Mercury is considered to be debilitated in Pisces as Mercury in Pisces can lead to hazy, unfocused communication. However, it is highly beneficial for compassionate, empathetic, intuitive thoughts and communication and for all creative endeavors.

February 8: Venus Square Uranus at 27 Degrees Aquarius/Taurus. Avoid any charged inter-personal interactions now as Venus square Uranus can bring impatience and a tendency to get involved in arguments out of a sense of boredom.  Similarly, avoid spending money, as impulsive purchases are common under this aspect.

February 10: Venus Enters Pisces. Venus is in its exaltation when it is in Pisces. Venus, the planet of blessings received, brings expanded spirituality, compassion and selfless unconditional love. Venus in Pisces is beneficial for creative pursuits and emotional connections of all kinds.

February 12 Mars Quincunx Jupiter at 16 Degrees Aquarius/Cancer. Thank goodness Mars quincunx Jupiter only lasts for a short time! Mars stimulates an agitated combination of high, aggressive energy (Mars) combined with overwhelming idealism and rigid beliefs (Jupiter). This aspect can be helpful to bring about change, but it can quickly escalate into unwanted outcomes.   Practice calm and peace, while taking steps to change what is no longer working.

February 14: Saturn Enters Aries. Saturn in Aries until April 2028 marks the start of a new 29-year Saturn cycle. Saturn in Aries favors building sold foundations through bold, self-reliant growth. Aries brings ambition, while Saturn urges responsibility and clear-headed assessment before impulsively acting. Saturn will remain in Aries for approximately 2-1/2 years.

February 15-16: Sun Square Uranus at 27 Degrees Aquarius/Taurus. You may be feeling a little restless and bored when the Sun is square Uranus. Relationships are difficult now because of ego conflicts and disagreements. Avoid dangerous situations and impulsive actions. Instead, stay grounded and let yourself imagine new possibilities. This aspect can bring unusual, sometimes brilliant, insights.

February 17: New Moon Solar Eclipse at 29 Degrees Aquarius at 7:01 AM.  This special Aquarius New Moon Solar Eclipse occurs at the “anaretic degree” or “degree of fate.”. It marks a critical point of culmination and the end of a cycle. It often brings major turning points indicating a need to let go of old grudges, traumas and outworn attitudes and to embrace the new, dynamic energy. This Aquarius Solar Eclipse coincides with the beginning of the year of the Fire Horse in Chinese astrology. Both the Aquarius Solar Eclipse and the Chinese Fire Horse bring in themes around radical change, community, technology, innovation and brave new paths forward.

February 18-19: Sun Enters Pisces. Sun at 1 Degree Pisces Sesiquiquadrate Jupiter at 16 Degrees Cancer. The Sun moving into Pisces temporarily lowers the intensity, though Saturn conjunct Neptune brings a huge shift that you may already be feeling. Use the Sun in Pisces to deepen your spiritual practice, which will assist you in navigating the big changes coming on all levels in year 2026.

February 20: Saturn Conjunct Neptune at Zero Degrees Aries. Saturn has been near a conjunction with Neptune for the last year. The conjunction is now exact at 00 degrees Aries. Satun conjunct Neptune only happens once every 35 years and has not happened in Aries since around 593 BC. This is truly a paradigm shift of major proportions. Saturn conjunct Neptune is about manifesting our dreams through groundedness and practicality. I will discuss this conjunction and other astrological events at my talk at A Spiritual Center at the Third Street Center, Room 31, in Carbondale, CO on February 1. I would love to have you attend if you are able.

February 22: Venus Trine Jupiter at 15 Degrees Pisces/Cancer. Enjoy this lovely Venus trine Jupiter aspect until February 26. This is absolutely the best aspect for manifesting your dreams and desires. Venus relates to “blessings received,” while Jupiter relates to “abundance.” Venus in Pisces brings high intuition and connection to unsee realms. It lifts the veil between the worlds. Jupiter in Cancer adds the emotion needed to turn your desires into reality.

February 26: Mercury Stationary Retrograde at 22 Degrees Pisces. Mercury retrograde in Pisces until March 20 gives you a chance to realign yourself with your spiritual beliefs, your compassion (or lack of compassion) for the fellow inhabitants of Mother Earth and your ability to use intuition and creativity in your daily life.

February 27-28: Mercury Conjunct Venus at 22 Degrees Pisces. Mars Square Uranus at 27 Degrees Aquarius/Taurus. Mercury conjunct Venus is a positive aspect that brings a gentler, more loving and caring tone to your communications. However, Mars square Uranus is a volatile, unpredictable, restless energy, so caution is advised. Impulsive, even dangerous, actions, technical glitches and careless accidents are possible. Slow down and use Mercury conjunct Venus in Pisces to commune with your inner spirt.
