Go back?” he thought. “No good at all! Go sideways? Impossible! Go forward? Only thing to do! On we go!” So up he got, an and trotted along with his little sword held in front of him and one hand feeling the wall, and his heart all of a patter and a pitter. ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit
The Sun entering Aries on March 21 was a pinnacle moment. We must now turn our attention to the energies of the new astrological year that began with the equinox. The way is forward; The past will only hold you back.
The Libra Full Moon on the first of April sets the stage. Mars enters Aries on the 9th, dramatically expanding the action- and achievement-oriented Arian tone. Mercury joins the party on the 14th, which increases impatience and impulsive, sometimes foolhardy actions, and communication.
The April 17 New Moon in the last degrees of Aries is peak time for setting your course and forging onward. The Aries stellium consisting of the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Saturn and Neptune (see chart below for the April 17 New Moon) adds a concentrated burst of energy.
Uranus enters Gemini on the 25th of April, where it will reside for the next seven years. Uranus in Gemini adds an intelligent, restive, intellectual, freedom-loving vibe. Watch for mind blowing advancements in technology, particularly in health care and artificial intelligence, over the next seven years. Expect the unexpected when Uranus is in Gemini.
March 30: Venus Enters Taurus. Venus is the ruling planet of Taurus and thus feels right at home here. Venus in Taurus until April 24 brings an ease and beneficial energy to matters of comfort, finances, romance, self-love and security. Those with planets in Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius will feel Venus’ beneficent rays most strongly.
April 1: Full Moon at 12 Degrees Libra at 10:11 PM EST. The Sabian symbol for this full Moon in Libra is: “Children Blowing Soap Bubbles.” The emphasis is on beauty, pleasure and playfulness. It gives you the gift of looking at old situations with “new” eyes and the ability to use your imagination to balance the perceived negativity around you with the joy of appreciating all things. This Libra Full Moon brings a sense of emotional balance that enables you to close the stale, negative chapters in your life.

April 3: Mercury Trine Jupiter at 16 Degrees Pisces/Cancer. Venus Square Pluto at 5 Degrees Taurus/Aquarius. Expansive, optimistic, though sometimes unrealistic thoughts are all hallmarks of Mercury trine Jupiter. Venus square Pluto adds a layer of intensity, so enjoy your communications under the lovely Mercury trine Jupiter aspect, but be careful not to push your ideas too strongly.
April 5: Sun Square Jupiter at 17 Degrees Aries/Cancer. Sun square Jupiter is one of those bluebird aspects that make you feel confident, optimistic and ready to explore new horizons. Those of you with planets or points from 12 degrees to 22 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) will feel this beneficent aspect most strongly. However, it will be felt by everyone as a lightening, happy energy.
April 9: Mars Enters Aries. Mars in Aries is the “GO” signal that ignites your energy, passion and ambition. You are no longer willing to sit on the sidelines and watch the world go by. Instead, you are ready to initiate activities and take risks to make things happen. Mars in Aries can be headstrong, rash and foolhardy, so do be careful to avoid accidents or unwise, impetuous actions.
April 11: Sun at 22 Aries Sesiquiquadrate South Node at 6 Virgo. Saturn Quincunx South Node at 6 Degrees Aries/Virgo. You may be focused on the past and chastising yourself for not being perfect when the Sun and Saturn are in aspect to the South Node in Virgo. While it is good to be aware of past mistakes, this aspect is really about acknowledging your perceived or real failings and then letting go. The South Node not only shows where you have fallen short in the past, but it is a very positive guide to using old talents in a new way. The emphasis on Aries and Virgo gives you the energy and courage (Aries) to make the needed changes.
April 13: Mars Conjunct Neptune at 2 Degrees Aries. Mars conjunct Neptune triggers the need to escape. This aspect is like having one foot on the gas and the other foot on the brake. You may be feeling extra tired, unsettled and confused. Avoid major impulsive (Mars) decisions now as your judgment may be clouded and things may not be as they appear.
April 14: Mercury Enter Aries. Flashes of intuition, quick thinking and assertive (or aggressive) communication are all part of the Mercury in Aries energy. Brush off those ideas you had during Mercury’s retrograde motion last month and implement them now. However, use a little Saturn restraint as Mercury in Aries can be a little too impulsive and rash.
April 16: Sun Conjunct Chiron at 26 Degrees Aries. Mercury Conjunct Neptune at 2 Degrees Aries. The Sun conjunct Chiron brings a renewed sense of purpose and clarity. Pay attention to your dreams and inner thoughts as they can light the way.
April 17: New Moon at 28 Degrees Aries. The Full Moon on April 1 in Libra charged you with balancing your energy and with focusing on your needs versus the needs of others. This New Moon in Aries is a strong signal that it is now time to focus on your needs, your projects and your actions. Chiron conjunct the Aries New Moon advises you to let go of, or solve, old relationship or other issues to get the maximum benefit of this Aries New Moon. Ask yourself: How can I heal old wounds and turn them into a source of strength instead of a negative albatross that stifles my courage and ability to act. With Mars and Mercury also in Aries, consider expressing your pain by journaling.

April 19-20: Sun Enters Taurus. Mercury, Mars and Saturn Conjunct at 7-8 Degrees Aries.
Sun in Taurus until May 21st brings a much-needed grounding to the strong Aries energy. Taurus energy is superb for consolidating and securing any insights or gains you made under the Aries energy.
April 23: Venus Conjunct Uranus at 29 Degrees Taurus. Venus conjunct Uranus brings unpredictable outcomes around love and financial matters. You may be feeling a certain restlessness and the need for more freedom.
April 24: Venus Enters Gemini. You become more of a social butterfly when Venus is in Gemini from April 24 until May 18, 2026. Consider taking short trips to beautiful places or taking a class just for fun to satisfy your desire for variety and mental stimulation.
April 25: Uranus Enters Gemini. Uranus will be in Gemini until May of 2033. Uranus in Gemini is typically a time of widespread advances in communication and scientific breakthroughs. Rebellion, communication snafus and wild weather patterns are also typical during Uranus in Gemini. An interesting historical insight is that the first Atlantic telegraph cable was laid in 1858 and the Pony Express began in 1860 when Uranus was in Gemini. Expect even more astounding breakthroughs in communication during the next seven years.
April 25: Sun Square Pluto at 5 Degrees Taurus/Aquarius. Be wary of interactions with authority figures and useless battles of wills. The intensity level is high (Pluto) and the tendency for stubbornness (Taurus and Aquarius) is activated.
Moon Movement During April 2026: Note: Dates given are for New York City, NY. The time of the Moon’s movement into a sign will vary depending on where you live.

We all have an obligation to daydream. We have an obligation to imagine. It is easy to pretend that nobody can change anything, that society is huge and the individual is less than nothing. But the truth is individuals make the future, and they do it by imagining that things can be different. ── Neil Gaiman
NOTE: I wrote this newsletter before the extremely disturbing events in Minneapolis and thought that I might need to revise it. However, reading it over once again before posting it, I believe that the energy is as I have stated. Of course, no one can predict exactly what will happen, I can only talk about and predict the energy as I see it, not the outcomes from that energy. Now, more than ever, it is crucially important to stay grounded (Saturn), take action and dream a new reality for peace (Neptune). Year 2026 is a watershed year. Let’s all be part of the solution by staying focused, while imagining a more loving and peaceful world.
There is nothing shy, quiet or boring about the planetary energy in February. Rather, the energy is intense, charged and unpredictable. February promises to be an important month as it brings several profound, even life-changing, aspects to the forefront. February starts with Mercury, Sun, Venus, Mars and Pluto all transiting in Aquarius. Revolution is in the air for sure. We are no longer feeling content to go along to get along. Rather, we are feeling the need to let our voice be heard (Mercury), about our ideals (Venus) in a sometimes overly aggressive (Mars) or overly controlling (Pluto) way. Expect the unexpected!
- February 1: A full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo opposing the Sun in Aquarius.
- February 4: Uranus turns direct at 27 degrees Taurus
- February 6: Mercury enters Pisces
- February 10: Venus enters Pisces
- February 14: Saturn enters Aries
- February 17: New Moon Solar Eclipse at 29 degrees Aquarius
- February 17: Astrological Year of the Chinese Fire Horse begins
- February 20: Saturn Conjunct Neptune in Aries
- February 26-27: Mercury turns Retrograde at 22 degrees Pisces.
Also noteworthy is the upcoming movement of Neptune and Saturn into Aries. That conjunction marks a major astrological shift affecting all of year 2026. I will discuss this conjunction and other astrological events at my talk at A Spiritual Center at the Third Street Center, Room 31, in Carbondale, CO on February 1 at 10:00 AM. I would love to have you attend if you are able.
February 1: Full Moon in Leo at 13 Degrees Leo. Its time to confidently express yourself when the full Moon occurs in Leo. The Sun in Aquarius in opposition to the Moon in Leo urges you to honor your own individuality versus the needs of the group or collective. Honor your uniqueness, while working with the group or collective to bring about the desired changes.

February 4: Uranus Turns Direct at 27 Degrees Taurus. Uranus direct in Taurus continues its theme of bringing change, innovation and new ideas around your relationship with nature, finances and personal values. Uranus remains in Taurus until April 26 when it enters Gemini, where it will stay for the next seven years.
February 5: Sun Quincunx Jupiter at 16 Degrees Aquarius/Cancer. The Sun quincunx Jupiter brings an overly optimistic mindset and an overly stimulated mind. An adjustment needs to be made in what can, or should, be accomplished in the next day or two. Be wary of expecting too much from family members (Jupiter in Cancer) during this time.
February 6: Mercury Enters Pisces. Mercury is considered to be debilitated in Pisces as Mercury in Pisces can lead to hazy, unfocused communication. However, it is highly beneficial for compassionate, empathetic, intuitive thoughts and communication and for all creative endeavors.
February 8: Venus Square Uranus at 27 Degrees Aquarius/Taurus. Avoid any charged inter-personal interactions now as Venus square Uranus can bring impatience and a tendency to get involved in arguments out of a sense of boredom. Similarly, avoid spending money, as impulsive purchases are common under this aspect.
February 10: Venus Enters Pisces. Venus is in its exaltation when it is in Pisces. Venus, the planet of blessings received, brings expanded spirituality, compassion and selfless unconditional love. Venus in Pisces is beneficial for creative pursuits and emotional connections of all kinds.
February 12 Mars Quincunx Jupiter at 16 Degrees Aquarius/Cancer. Thank goodness Mars quincunx Jupiter only lasts for a short time! Mars stimulates an agitated combination of high, aggressive energy (Mars) combined with overwhelming idealism and rigid beliefs (Jupiter). This aspect can be helpful to bring about change, but it can quickly escalate into unwanted outcomes. Practice calm and peace, while taking steps to change what is no longer working.
February 14: Saturn Enters Aries. Saturn in Aries until April 2028 marks the start of a new 29-year Saturn cycle. Saturn in Aries favors building sold foundations through bold, self-reliant growth. Aries brings ambition, while Saturn urges responsibility and clear-headed assessment before impulsively acting. Saturn will remain in Aries for approximately 2-1/2 years.
February 15-16: Sun Square Uranus at 27 Degrees Aquarius/Taurus. You may be feeling a little restless and bored when the Sun is square Uranus. Relationships are difficult now because of ego conflicts and disagreements. Avoid dangerous situations and impulsive actions. Instead, stay grounded and let yourself imagine new possibilities. This aspect can bring unusual, sometimes brilliant, insights.
February 17: New Moon Solar Eclipse at 29 Degrees Aquarius at 7:01 AM. This special Aquarius New Moon Solar Eclipse occurs at the “anaretic degree” or “degree of fate.”. It marks a critical point of culmination and the end of a cycle. It often brings major turning points indicating a need to let go of old grudges, traumas and outworn attitudes and to embrace the new, dynamic energy. This Aquarius Solar Eclipse coincides with the beginning of the year of the Fire Horse in Chinese astrology. Both the Aquarius Solar Eclipse and the Chinese Fire Horse bring in themes around radical change, community, technology, innovation and brave new paths forward.

February 18-19: Sun Enters Pisces. Sun at 1 Degree Pisces Sesiquiquadrate Jupiter at 16 Degrees Cancer. The Sun moving into Pisces temporarily lowers the intensity, though Saturn conjunct Neptune brings a huge shift that you may already be feeling. Use the Sun in Pisces to deepen your spiritual practice, which will assist you in navigating the big changes coming on all levels in year 2026.
February 20: Saturn Conjunct Neptune at Zero Degrees Aries. Saturn has been near a conjunction with Neptune for the last year. The conjunction is now exact at 00 degrees Aries. Satun conjunct Neptune only happens once every 35 years and has not happened in Aries since around 593 BC. This is truly a paradigm shift of major proportions. Saturn conjunct Neptune is about manifesting our dreams through groundedness and practicality. I will discuss this conjunction and other astrological events at my talk at A Spiritual Center at the Third Street Center, Room 31, in Carbondale, CO on February 1. I would love to have you attend if you are able.
February 22: Venus Trine Jupiter at 15 Degrees Pisces/Cancer. Enjoy this lovely Venus trine Jupiter aspect until February 26. This is absolutely the best aspect for manifesting your dreams and desires. Venus relates to “blessings received,” while Jupiter relates to “abundance.” Venus in Pisces brings high intuition and connection to unsee realms. It lifts the veil between the worlds. Jupiter in Cancer adds the emotion needed to turn your desires into reality.
February 26: Mercury Stationary Retrograde at 22 Degrees Pisces. Mercury retrograde in Pisces until March 20 gives you a chance to realign yourself with your spiritual beliefs, your compassion (or lack of compassion) for the fellow inhabitants of Mother Earth and your ability to use intuition and creativity in your daily life.
February 27-28: Mercury Conjunct Venus at 22 Degrees Pisces. Mars Square Uranus at 27 Degrees Aquarius/Taurus. Mercury conjunct Venus is a positive aspect that brings a gentler, more loving and caring tone to your communications. However, Mars square Uranus is a volatile, unpredictable, restless energy, so caution is advised. Impulsive, even dangerous, actions, technical glitches and careless accidents are possible. Slow down and use Mercury conjunct Venus in Pisces to commune with your inner spirt.
Moon Movement During February 2026: Note: Dates given are for New York City, NY. The time of the Moon’s movement into a sign will vary depending on where you live.
February 1: Full Moon at 13 Degrees 3 Minutes Leo at 5:09 PM
February 2: Moon enters Virgo
February 5: Moon enters Libra
February 7: Moon enters Scorpio
February 10: Moon enters Sagittarius
February 12: Moon enters Capricorn
February 15 Moon enters Aquarius
February 17: New Moon Annual Solar Eclipse at 28 Degrees 49 Minutes Aquarius at 7:01 AM
February 17: Moon enters Pisces at 9:09 AM
February 19: Moon enters Aries
February 21: Moon enters Taurus
February 23: Moon enters Gemini
February 26: Moon enters Cancer
February 28: Moon enters Leo

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” ─ Eleanor Roosevelt
The planets are on the move as January brings in the New Year and our aspirations, dreams, wishes and fears shift under the hope for a new and better 2026 calendar year. Several planets change sign during January, which brings a decidedly different energy dynamic as January unfolds.
- Mercury enters Capricorn on January 1
- Venus enters Aquarius on January 17
- Sun enters Aquarius on January 19
- Mercury enters Aquarius on January 20
- Mars enters Aquarius on January 23
- Neptune enters Aries on January 26
- Saturn enters Aries on February 14
If that isn’t enough, we have the Sun, Venus and Mercury moving toward a conjunction with Mars between January 6 and 18, when all four will be in a Capricorn stellium to be joined by the Moon on the 17th.
But wait, there’s more!
Consider that this is a rather rare happening. The last time these four planets were in a Grand Conjunction together was in August 1987, when they were tightly conjunct Jupiter and Neptune (also later joined by the Moon). August 16-17,1987 was the date of the Astrological Harmonic Convergence, the world’s first synchronized global peace meditation. It was expected that the exceptional planetary alignment would bring a great shift in the earth’s energy that would bring healing to the false structures of separation. Though the year 1987 was not all peace and light, it did bring significant political shifts, including President Reagan’s challenge to Russian president Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin wall (the INF Treaty was signed later).
Also noteworthy is the upcoming movement of Neptune and Saturn into Aries. That conjunction marks a major astrological shift affecting all of year 2026. I will discuss this conjunction and other astrological events for the first 6 months of 2026 at my talk at A Spiritual Center at the Third Street Center, Room 31, in Carbondale, CO on February 1 at 10:00 AM. We truly are starting to move into a new energetic realm. I would love to see you then if you are able to attend.
January 1: Mercury Enters Capricorn and Squares Neptune at 29 Degrees Pisces. Mars at 13 Degrees Capricorn Sesiquiquadrate Uranus at 28 Degrees Taurus. Things are not as they seem today. Mercury square Neptune can bring communication confusion or misunderstandings. Mars in unfavorable aspect to Uranus lends a possibility of anger, danger or accidental events. Thankfully, this aspect will only last a day or two.
January 3: Full Moon at 13 Degrees Cancer. Sun, Venus and Mars Conjunct at 12-14 Degrees Capricorn Sesiquiquadrate Uranus at 28 Degrees Taurus. The Full Moon in Cancer is an exceptionally emotional Moon that favors internal reflection and the willingness to let go of those people and places that no longer bring you joy. Conversely, this Moon favors spending time with family and friends that nurture you and give you a sense of security. The Sun, Venus and Mars sesiquiquadrate Uranus brings a touch of unease and rebelliousness that helps you make the needed changes.

January 9-10: Sun, Venus, and Mars Conjunct at 19-20 Capricorn Opposition Jupiter at 21 Degrees Cancer. A Venus and Mars conjunction is considered auspicious, as it brings passion and creativity to all your endeavors and heightens romance. The Sun enhances that creativity, while the opposition to Jupiter is a cautionary signal to not overdo the passionate Sun, Venus, Mars energy.
January 12-13: Sun and Mars at 22 Degrees Capricorn Square Chiron at 22 Degrees Aries. Your ambition and sense of self are amplified when the Sun and Mars are in Capricorn. The square to Chiron in Aries triggers old false stories of “do I really dare to think I could have that?” This is a good time to throw off old shackles of doubt.
January 15: Venus at 27 Degrees Capricorn Trine Uranus at 27 Taurus and Sextile Saturn at 27 Pisces. Venus trine Uranus sometimes brings an exciting, creative project or an encounter with someone unusual. Venus sextile Saturn helps you realistically evaluate any new opportunities or relationships.
January 17: Venus Enters Aquarius. Sun Sextile Saturn at 27 Degrees Capricorn/Pisces. Sun Trine Uranus at 27 Degrees Capricorn/Taurus. Venus in Aquarius until the end of February broadens your relationship and friendship horizons. You may feel more open-minded and will seek out new friends that are different or are mentally stimulating. Your desire to help others and your creative vision expands into unknown venues or subjects.
January 18: New Moon at 29 Degrees Capricorn at 2:51 PM EST. I love the symbolism of the New Moon in the last degree of Capricorn that includes a rolling stellium composed of Mars, Mercury, Venus and Pluto (Venus and Pluto in Aquarius). The old, traditional way of thinking (Capricorn) is making way for the startling new energy of Aquarius. Also note, Saturn direct is moving towards its history-making conjunction with Neptune that will happen on February 14, 2026. It is time to dream a new future (Neptune) with boundaries and guidelines to protect you (Saturn and Capricorn stellium).

January 19: Sun Sextile Neptune at 29 Degrees Capricorn/Pisces. Sun Enters Aquarius at 8:44 PM EST. Venus Conjunct Pluto at 3 Degrees Aquarius. There is mixed bag of energies today. The Sun sextile Neptune expands your creative, compassionate and spiritual vision. However, Venus conjunct Pluto sometimes leads to disagreements and power struggles with those around you. Spend more time doing creative endeavors and less time trying to oversee what others are doing and this should be a happy, productive time.
January 20: Saturn Sextile Uranus at 27 Degrees Pisces/Taurus. Mars at 27 Degrees Capricorn, Trine Uranus at 27 Taurus and Mars Sextile Saturn at 27 Degrees Pisces. Uranus is activated by both Saturn and Mars, which is a bit of conflicting energy. Saturn urges caution on making changes too fast, while Mars says, “go, go, go” Overall, this is a helpful transit as it favors more action with less mindless reaction.
January 21: Sun, Mercury and Pluto Conjunct at 1-3 Degrees Aquarius. The Sun, Mercury and Pluto conjunct in the early degrees of Aquarius are a potent reminder that a new identify change (Sun), a new way of thinking and talking (Mercury) and the power to make unprecedented changes are moving into the spotlight. We must now adapt to the new energy or be left behind.
January 23: Mars Enters Aquarius. Mars Sextile Neptune. Sun Conjunct Pluto at 3 Degrees Aquarius. Mars in Aquarius until March 2nd, fires up innovative thinking, humanitarian efforts and a desire to throw off old restrictions. Aquarius is the sign of freedom and when energized by Mars, the planet of action, expect unexpected breakthroughs and discoveries. You may be feeling more rebellious at this time.
January 26: Neptune Enters Aries. Neptune retrograded back into Pisces through most of the fall months. Now, as it moves into Aries, it is starting a new 14-year cycle. Neptune loved being in Pisces, its home sign, but it was mostly acting behind the scenes. Now in Aries, Neptune is forced to make itself known in a more straight-forward and aggressive way. This is a time of spiritual idealism (Neptune) combined with fiery action (Aries). Beginning now, and during the next 14 years, is the time to turn your dreams into reality. Let go of fuzzy thinking and excuses and proceed boldly. However, you do need to be careful not to act without thinking.
January 27: Mars Conjunct Pluto at 3 Degrees Aquarius. Venus at 15 Degrees Aquarius Sesiquiquadrate Saturn at 28 Degrees Pisces. Mars conjunct Pluto brings an abundance of energy and intensity. Be careful that you direct your efforts into positive pursuits rather than questionable aggressive and/or controlling activities.
Moon Movement During January 2026: Note: Dates given are for New York City, NY. The time of the Moon’s movement into a sign will vary depending on where you live.
January 1: Moon in Gemini
January 2: Moon enters Cancer
January 3: Full Moon at 13 Degrees Cancer at 5:02 AM
January 4: Moon enters Leo
January 6: Moon enters Virgo
January 8: Moon enters Libra
January 11: Moon enters Scorpio
January 13: Moon enters Sagittarius
January 16: Moon enters Capricorn
January 18 New Moon at 28 Degrees 43 Minutes Capricorn at 2:15 PM
January 18: Moon enters Aquarius at 5:17 PM
January 21: Moon enters Pisces
January 23: Moon enters Aries
January 25: Moon enters Taurus
January 27: Moon enters Gemini
January 29: Moon enters Cancer
January 31: Moon enters Leo

I feel the suffering of millions. And yet, when I look up at the sky, I somehow feel that everything will change for the better; that this cruelty too shall end, that peace and tranquility will return once more. ─ Anne Frank
“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.” — Anne Lamott
September planets emphasize the need for a reset. The Sun entered Virgo on August 22, indicating an energy shift from fun, summertime activities (Leo Sun) to a more serious, focused and structured Virgo Sun energy. Despite the Virgo grounded earth energy, there are some Important and rather startling new energies emerging in the planetary landscape. Two powerful events mark the skies this month:
September 7: Total Pisces Lunar Eclipse at 15 degrees Pisces (the Sun in opposition to the Moon at 15 degrees Virgo). The Lunar Eclipse in Pisces will aspect the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) and will be felt most by those who have planets from 10 to 20 degrees of those signs.
September 21: Partial Solar Eclipse at 29 degrees Virgo with the Sun and Moon in opposition to both Saturn and Neptune in Aries. The Virgo solar eclipse will be felt most strongly by those who have planets from 24 degrees of the mutable signs to 5 degrees of the cardinal signs (Libra, Capricorn, Aries and Cancer.
If you have planets or angles near these degrees, you are more apt to feel these eclipses. When eclipses land directly on your planets, they are more apt to bring life-shifting events. This is neither good nor bad. It depends on the planets and your outlook on change. Also, be aware that eclipse energy is in force for approximately six months, so events and changes may not happen right on the eclipse dates. In addition, there are several sign changes:
September 1: Retrograde Neptune backtracks into Pisces
September 2: Mercury enters Virgo
September 6: Uranus turns retrograde
September 18: Mercury enters Libra
September 19: Venus enters Virgo
September 22: Mars enters Scorpio
September 22: Sun enters Libra
If you have been putting off making a decision on important matters, the September eclipses and sign changes could be just the catalyst you need. Also, look for possible changes in politics, money matters, health and employment.
September 1-2: Mars at 16 Degrees Libra Sesiquiquadrate Uranus at 2 Degrees Gemini. Retrograde Saturn Enters Pisces. Mercury Enters Virgo. Unsettled and confusing energy now and a higher than usual likelihood of accidents and unexpected, volatile verbal exchanges. Mercury in Virgo helps to calm things down so you can sort them out.
September 3: Mercury Quincunx Neptune at 1 Degree Virgo/Aries. Mercury Square Uranus at 1 Degree Virgo/Gemini. Mercury Quincunx Pluto at 1 Degree Virgo/Aquarius. Mercury moves fast, so these are short-lived one-to-two-day aspects. However, communication matters are certainly being highlighted. Mercury square Uranus can bring disjointed conversations, rigid thinking and radical views. Mercury quincunx Pluto brings out the deep truth of the matter, though you may not be ready to face what comes up from your subconscious. Mercury quincunx Neptune brings a tinge of foggy thinking. When navigating these transits take your time, keep an open mind, and, most importantly, relax and wait for clarity.
September 4: Mars Square Jupiter at 18 Degrees Libra/Cancer. Jupiter Trine North Node at 18 Degrees Cancer/Pisces. Avoid conflict now, since your (and others’) fighting spirit is strong. Jupiter expands everything it touches, so the Martian energy is amplified by Mars square Jupiter. The good news is that Jupiter trine the North Node can bring helpful news via a person or event. Jupiter is thought to be a sign that your angels and/or spirit guides are watching over you.
September 7: Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse at 15 Degrees 22 Minutes Pisces at 2:08 PM EDT. Venus at 15 Degrees Leo Sesiquiquadrate Neptune Retrograde at 1 Degree Aries. Every Full Moon symbolizes a time of completion and the need to let go of old outworn ideas, relationships and “stuff’ of all kinds. This Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Pisces (with the Sun in opposition in Virgo) is especially indicative of change, transformation and the need to let go. The Sabian symbol for this Moon in Pisces is “the flow of ingenuity.” Pisces rules the arts, intuition and the connection to the divine. The Sun in Virgo rules practical, everyday matters, health and organization. The Pisces Lunar Eclipse asks that you combine the compassionate, caring and spiritual Pisces energy with the down-to-earth, practical Virgo energy. Or, as the Zen proverb states, “Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water.”

September 11: Mercury at 18 Degrees Virgo Sesiquiquadrate Retrograde Pluto at 1 Degree Aquarius. Whenever Mercury, the planet of communication, interacts with Pluto we are bound to notice an uptick in passive-aggressive words, often delivered with passion and intensity. Thank goodness this is a one-day aspect. Just bite your tongue until the air clears tomorrow when the Sun is conjunct Mercury at 21 degrees Virgo, which favors rational communications of all kinds.
September 16: Venus Trine Chiron at 26 Degrees Leo/Aries. Mars Opposition Chiron at 26 Degrees Libra/Aries. Both Venus and Mars rule relationships, especially romantic relationships, while Chiron relates to your woundedness as a result of those relationships. Venus/Mars/Chiron aspects are an opportune time to clear the air and to heal old wounds.
September 18: Mercury Enters Libra and Opposes Neptune. Venus at 28 Degrees Leo Quincunx Saturn at 28 Degrees Pisces. Foggy thinking (Mercury opposition Neptune) and the need for relationship adjustments (Venus quincunx Saturn) makes this a problematic day for meaningful conversations. Stick to routine for now. The Virgo Solar Eclipse on September 21st will bring a new dynamic.
September 21: New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse at 29 Degrees 5 Minutes Virgo. The New Moon on September 21 is about new beginnings. What is interesting is that it occurs at 29 degrees, which is the degree of endings. That unusual placement clearly indicates the need to let something go, while welcoming a whole new way of being. The Moon moves into Libra in only two hours after this New Moon. Ask yourself:
- What in my life has served its purpose?
- Are my possessions, relationships and beliefs enhancing my life or causing stress and anxiety?
- How would it feel to no longer have that albatross hanging over my head?
- How would it feel to embrace a new way of being?
The planetary emphasis on the sign of Virgo urges you to go slowly and to plan carefully. Virgo energy is great for making reasonable, well-thought-out decisions. Stay positive. These changes may feel like the first time you jumped off a diving board — scary, but also exciting and hopeful.

September 23-24: Sun Enters Libra and Opposes Neptune/Saturn Conjunction at 0 Degree Aries. Mars Enters Scorpio and Squares Pluto in Aquarius. Sun at 1 Degree Libra Trine Uranus at 1 Degree Gemini. Sun Trine Pluto at 1 Degree Libra/Aquarius. The Autumn equinox occurs today at 2:19 PM. Meanwhile, the Sun in Libra opposite Neptune and Saturn calls for the need for diplomacy and clarity. Whenever Neptune is involved, the issues are foggy and unknown facts can trip you up.
