Those of you who are long-time subscribers to my newsletter have seen this picture before. I have recycled it here because I love it, and because it reflects the communicative, connective energy of Gemini that is in focus from May 20 to June 21. Of course, Mercury retrograde provides an added push (recycle, relearn, redo, etc.).
The month is relatively quiet with the emphasis on the signs of Gemini and, later, Cancer. Of course, Mars, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto are always hovering in the background asking for the chance to say their piece.
In fact, Mars in its home sign of Aries from May 24th until July 5th will stir up all manner of things. Positively, Mars in Aries brings a burst of energy, action and forward-moving motion. Negatively, it can provoke feelings of aggression, anger and impulsivity. Those of you with planets in Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn will feel this Martian energy the most. Watch your anger level and do not provoke anger from others during transiting Mars in Aries.
June 2: Mars Sesquiquadrate South Node at 6 Degrees Aries/21 Degrees Scorpio; and Sun Sesquiquadrate Pluto at 12 Degrees Gemini/28 Degrees Capricorn. Sesquiquadrate aspects are challenging because the planets involved have nothing in common. It’s like attending a high-society party in your gardening clothes. Mars sesquiquadrate the South Node has the effect of forcing you to take time to reassess your goals. Sun sesquiquadrate Pluto amps up energy. You may be forced to look at whether the life you are living is the life you want to be living.
June 4: Mercury Turns Direct at 26 Degrees Taurus. Mercury has now retrograded back into the late degrees of Taurus, where it will begin to move forward. Mercury will re-enter Gemini on June 14.
June 6: Sun Sextile Chiron at 15 Degrees Gemini/Aries. The Sun sextile Chiron can bring a spiritual awakening and a renewed sense of purpose. Pay special attention to this transit if you have planets near 15 degrees of the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) or 15 degrees of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn). The zodiac house where the transit shows up will be important to you. Its a cosmic gift to help you let go of old hurts in that area of your life.
June 10: Mercury Trine Pluto at 28 Degrees Taurus/Capricorn. Mercury trine Pluto can bring penetrating (Pluto) conversations (Mercury), powerful (Pluto) insights (Mercury) and a feeling of exposure. You may be more open to bringing psychological issues out for review.
June 11: Venus Conjunct Uranus at 16 Degrees Taurus. Venus conjunct Uranus brings a certain unpredictable energy, so go with the flow. Doing so can open up a new and exciting path around money, love or creativity. A creative person could cross your path or a creative project could appear from out of the blue; especially if you have planets near 16 degrees Taurus.
June 13: Mercury Enters Gemini. Mercury loves being in its home sign of Gemini. Mercury in Gemini brings lots of stimulating conversations and new understandings. Ideas are front and center. Enjoy anything that stimulates your mind, such as books, letters, magazines, social networking, etc. This is an excellent time to brainstorm with others about a new idea or project that you are contemplating.
June 14-15: Full Moon at 23 Degrees Sagittarius/Gemini. The Full Moon in Sagittarius wants you to expand your horizons and to learn new and exciting things. Of course, the Moon is also opposing the Sun in Gemini. This makes the quest for knowledge, new horizons and exploration even more compelling. Get out those maps and plan your summertime travel and/or study itinerary!
The Sun and Moon are T-square Neptune at this Sagittarius Full Moon. You may be drawn to studying religion, philosophy and belief systems in general. Also, with Mars conjunct Chiron at 15 degrees Aries, your studies may reveal a healing path or a resolution to old anger issues.
In addition, Venus conjunct North Node and Venus opposition South Node bring a sense of destiny (Nodes) to your life; especially those of you with 15 to 25 degrees of the fixed signs (Taurus, Scorpio and Aquarius). Uranus conjunct Venus adds to the sense of destiny and surprise (Uranus).
June 18: Venus Square Saturn at 25 Degrees Taurus/Aquarius. Venus square Saturn may call for a re-evaluation of your relationships and your money matters. Venus is at home in Taurus and, thus, is extra strong here. Saturn calls for a clear-eyed view of reality. Venus square Saturn can help you assess all relationship and money matters. Ask yourself: Is there someone in your life that is bringing you down? If so, how can you remedy that situation or do you need to let them go? Ask yourself: could I improve the way I am managing my money?
June 19: Sun Inconjunct Pluto at 28 Degrees Gemini/Capricorn. The inconjunct aspect requires an adjustment in the energies shown by the signs involved. In this case, the Sun in Gemini is a rather free-flowing energy, while Pluto in Capricorn wants control and responsibility. Ask yourself: where have I exerted too much control (Pluto) or how have I let things slide when I should have been more in control?
June 19-20: Venus Sextile Neptune and Mercury Sextile Jupiter. Lovely vibes prevail under Venus sextile Neptune and Mercury sextile Jupiter. Venus sextile Neptune brings a sense of ease, romance and flow; while Mercury sextile Jupiter brings a sense of optimism and expansion. Enjoy!
June 21: Sun Enters Cancer.
June 25: Mercury Enters Gemini. Mercury in Gemini brings lots of short trips and long talks. In fact, it fosters all kinds of communication. On June 27 when Mercury is sextile both Saturn and Chiron, a conversation or insight can bring feelings of alienation, but also healing.
June 28: New Moon at 7 Degrees Cancer. Sun Square Jupiter at 7 Degrees Cancer/Aries. Venus Sextile Jupiter at 7 Degrees Gemini/Aries. This is certainly a dynamic Cancer New Moon. The cardinal signs of Cancer and Aries are activated and promise lots of action. Sun square Jupiter can bring a challenge between your emotional life (Cancer) and your active public facing self (Aries). Above all, this New Moon in Cancer nudges you to let go of old emotional wounds, stress and unrealistic expectations. I would guess that every single one of us has a toxic emotional build up brought about by the events of the last several years. Let this Cancer New Moon help you find an escape valve. Cry, punch a pillow, hike by the water, or do cleansing, forgiveness rituals to help you detox your emotions.
